Hilariously, it was leaked (so they would like you to think). It's ready for prime-time, however:

I read a while ago what the upgrades are intended to be; they certainly sound awesome (one lets you "feign" as in Team Fortress Classic, which will make many TFC oldtimers VERY happy - and possibly some players who will enjoy an excuse to shoot all the corpses they see, depending how it works).

Valve has a spy!

I just started playing TF2, but I've had the Box of Oranges since it came out. I have to say, the Spy is the only class I haven't really played much. Maybe that'll change after the update.

Awesome video, but the article kept saying it was possible it wasn't an official video. If it isn't, it sure is incredible how someone or some group managed to get the same voice actors (or actors that sound exactly the same) from the other "Meet the" videos.

Maybe that'll change after the update.

Something I want to say about the coming 360 update:

The developers negotiated with Xbox 360 developer Microsoft to keep the Xbox 360 releases of these updates free, but Microsoft refused and Valve announced that they would release bundles of several updates together to justify the price.

Why was Valve allowed to release the Left 4 Dead maps and modes as free but aren't allowed to release an update for free? I know it costs Microsoft something to add these things to XBox Live but it seems like the L4D content would be the one that people had to pay for.

The L4D updates were small compared to the large amount of new textures, models, sound files and so on that TF2's gotten since its original release. Methinks Microsoft doesn't want to spare the bandwidth. Too costly.

I'm 99% sure that's an official video. Everything's just right.

It's already sometimes hard to find a match in TF2 (360 version), will the update make it even worse? How would it work once downloaded, will there be a separate online section that people with the update choose so they only play with other players with the update? Or will it be like normal, except you search for the list of matches and each one will show whether or not it is a group of people playing with the update?

If the PC version's any indication, these are -forced- updates, so you can't play with other people unless you update your game. Everyone who plays the game must upgrade or else you can't play at all.

Whoa...something doesn't feel right about that.

They'll probably split the program updates with the content. The new content will be premium, but eveyone should get the system update.

That, or Valve might be nice and give free TF2 keys for use on Steam.

Escepcially if 360 peeps are getting charged.

I am unsure, do you guys know if 360 peeps can play with the pc dudes?

... What? That's the way it is on the PC. But it's free there, so...

Edit: And no, PC/360 players can't play against each other.

360 people playing with PC people = PC people dancing all over jerking corpses. I've never seen or heard anybody who walked or sounded like a 360 player. So, unfortunately, not crossplatform. Same is true of Left 4 Dead.

I imagine that 360 players without the DLC would be able to play with like holdouts.

Valve packaged the first three, I think, DLC packages together for 360 players so they would get the updates but not be charged three times.

Is it already time for another DLC? No, I think not. The first DLC included "all content through A Heavy Update," meaning players got the Pyro, Medic, and Heavy Weapons Guy updates. So far PC players have only gotten two more updates out of the nine classes total - that's out of the six classes left for 360 owners. See what I'm getting at? Unless Microsoft changed its stance (and...evidence seems to point towards that not having happened), 360 owners will probably have to pay $20 for the next two updates, and their next $10 payment (if that's what the first one went for - having difficulty finding actual news instead of just pre-release rumormongering about this online) won't be coming out until sometime after the PC gets the next update, which will probably be the sniper - the guy pushed out of the way by the Spy release - check the official Spy Update site:

"We sell products and get in fights."

And an amusing thread to boot (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=862282):

"...I tell you we are going to get double tricked, If you dont believe me look for your self take a look at the spy update picture If you look hard enough you can see an xbox 360 rising out of the smoke I have a strong feeling this trickery is not over!!!!!!!"

As far as I know only two games support Windows Vista / XBox 360 crossplay: Shadowrun and Lost Planet.
