American Classic Pinball and Video Game Tourney

Funspot will be hosting the 10th annual American Classic Pinball and Video Game Tournament in Weirs Beach, NH at the end of this month. I plan to be there to cover the event for 2old2play.com and hope to see some of the DP folks there as well. This is your chance to witness the greatest players of coin-op arcade games go head to head. I won't make it to the tourney, but I'll be in town the weekend before and will probably stop in at FunSpot. Last summer I think they put additional classic games in the golf area; does anyone know if they did that this summer yet?

I went to Funspot about a month ago. I noticed they still had all the golf stuff set up, and that they took the area next to the stairs near the bowling counter that had the Street Fighter/Darkstalkers/ Time Crisis stuff and removed it and replaced it with a kids party area! Made me sad, they have no Street Fighter machine anywhere in Funspot now, but still have all the Mortal Kombats and Primal Rage :( Hopefully they tear that shit down for the tournament.

Oh, and they stuck a sit down Crazy Taxi up in the classic game museum. I thought that area was for 84 and earlier games but hell, Crazy Taxi is an instant classic :)

I might go up and check it out during the tournament cuz I live so close, but I don't plan on entering this year.
