I'm guessing a video game based on the movie series Saw.

Punctuation, learn it. Live it. Love it.
Or even better yet, have something to say about it. Give an opinion about the article / ad...hell, we don't even know THAT much about what you saw!
Help us out here folks...this is a forum. We like to discuss things. Give us something to discuss about the game, or else we're going to have to to make the topic about your favorite waffle toppings.
At least you didn't say you seen Saw...I might have had to get really pissy then :)

I done seen Saw!
...Okay, now that smartassery's out of the way...I'll give an attempt at some sort of discussion about this since I am a huge fan of the movies but I just...Fail to see how they could turn it into a game properly. I haven't read the Game Informer or checked any previews on this lately(just remember hearing about it a while back), so I'm flying blind here, but...This just going to be another crappy third-person survival horror game?
Or do I finally get to live out my sick and twisted fantasies of being Jigsaw? Turn this into a 'Haunting Starring Polterguy' kinda dealy where you get to hunt down and ensnare people in fiendish killing machines..Think I drooled a little here..

Yeah, they are making a Saw game based off the 1st and 2nd movies. I saw some screens of it, but I didn't get a chance to read anything else about it. It was just a screen with the pupet, and some guy in some trap, which pretty much sums up a lot of the movies :P .

As LONG as I get a button that prompts the line:
"This is the most fun I've had without lubricant."
I will buy this game.

Maybe it will be like that burger king game pocketbike racer except u r that midget dude on the tricycle
I've read up on the game when it was announced and it actually has a decent concept to it, whether or not it's executed properly depends on the developers.

I'm kind of wondering if it's not like the Tecmo's Deception games, where you are trying to lure people into traps. That might be fun, but I dunno...Saw was not my kind of movie, can't imagine it'll be my type of game.

It was originally started by a company called Zombies but Konami bought the rights to it. There wasnt much to the preview because it was GI's photofile section

Just think.
If the Digital Press forum had existed during the days of the 2600, we'd have people starting threads expressing "excitement" about the upcoming release of such titles as M.A.S.H., E.T., G.I. Joe, etc. and speculating about their potential greatness.
The only Saw movie I liked was the first one anyway. Watched it opening night in the theater and LOVED it. Thought it was a well done and original concept. There never should have been any sequels to it.

nevermind this is NOT about seeing a game but a thread about an upcoming release of a game version of the movie Saw

A Saw game made in the vain of Indigo Prophecy would be interesting. Play as jigsaw, the victim, or the cop.

How could you have not wanted an answer to the end of the first one!?!?!?!?!

From what I've read about it your overall choices will affect the overall outcome. You will have the option to help someone, or leave them to fend for themselves and there will also be a few that are hostile. Again the overall concept seems decent enough, but it all depends on how it's executed. I'm not really expecting much from the game and it's not exactly on the top of my list of interests either, so I'll probably not even remember that this game was being made until it's actually released.

I'm still waiting for them to say what happened to Dr. Gordon.

I can already imagine the amount of "this game sucks" threads about Pac-Man and E.T.

Four sequels later and nothing yet. I wouldn't expect one either seeing that Cary Elwes sued the Saw producers sometime after the first movie.
Considering I've never seen them, I shouldn't judge Saw II through V but it does sound like a dumb idea to me that all of the sequels would revolve around the "Amanda" character who barely had any screen time in the original.
I'd have been more interested in watching the sequels if Danny Glover's detective character (Tapp) had survived or if Dr. Gordon continued to be utilized somehow.
