Just picked up a "tester unit" #32 off of ebay member el hombre tested it today and it won't boot a disc I get a red screen saying atari jaguar and it wont boot carts either. My jag works but the cd doesn't. What can I do to try and save it? Or should I just ask for a refund etc? I hear this happens with jags alot (sad so few were made and so many are dead/dying etc) thanks

Have you tried cleaning the contacts on your Jag cd unit? The connection between the cd unit and the main console has to be clean. Just clean it as you would a cart.

Cleaning the contacts might not even work. The Jag CD unit is notorious for never working unless you manage to lop off an arm and a leg to get one that's somehow brand new out of the box.

I think Stupidfingers/vomitsaw/Richard and the Angry Video Game Nerd put it best (in case you haven't seen the vid):

AVGN Jag Pt. 2 (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/47108.html)

Relevant bit starts at 9:55.

Sucks thing set me back 150. I have seen the avgn video. I'll try cleaning and thanks for the link on further repair options hoping I can salvage it as it is a low serial # that was a tester unit
