Anyone know about an Atari 2600 Master Builder international release?
I found a boxed complete Master Builder today at a yard sale (along with a loose Gas Hog) but the front of the box doesn't match the Atari Age scan. Mine has 5 languages on the front of it, same for the manual. Carts look the same.
Anyone know? DP guide doesn't list a non-US release....

It's a known variation.
Did you test the cart? Is it NTSC or PAL?

No way to test it. I have no 2600...I don't think I can even hook one up to any of my TVs. I got one with the lot of games I have here, but it has no power supply.
Is there any way to tell?
The back bottom left of the box says "Imported by Canadian Tire" which is a Canadian department store. I'd say that almost guarantees it's NTSC, simply because no one here in Canada uses PAL....

If it has the "Canadian Tire" text, then it's the NTSC version.
It's true that no one in Canada uses PAL, but carts can turn up anyhwere. It's always good to test and confirm carts like this, because there's a significant difference in rarity and price between NTSC and PAL.
Some pics would be nice.

PAL Master Builder, yes there is:
Official Spectravideo release:

In most cases, Spectravision = USA, Spectravideo = PAL
although some Spectravision titles are PAL too:

Hmmm....so it's likely that mine is NTSC but a Canadian variant? What does that say for it value-wise? I'll assume the loose Gas Hog is the same....
Most Spectravision/video games made it to Europe, I think the exception being Bumper Bash. Recently a very rare boxed PAL Mangia! was auctioned off on ebay.de

I believe the Canadian variants are the only NTSC releases of those particular titles.

Coooool.
Assuming that's the case...what's Master Builder go for complete? I looked at the DP prices for both and Gas Hog is $75 loose, but in the label condition this one's in, I figure more like $60. But the complete MB...I have no idea. I'd love to get an approximate number...I'll be trading these off or selling them very soon since I don't collect 2600.

On a good day and in great shape, I'd say $150-$200. These days and in that condition, quite a bit less. But you never know...it really depends if anyone is looking for one.
