I am sorry to say that this will probably be the first SJC I've missed in almost two years. :'(

I might be able to show up for an hour or two right at the opening of the store, but I'll be going to Roots Picnic, which is a music festival hosted by The Roots in Philadelphia. Depending on what time the show starts/stops I might be able to sandwich SJC around the show.

That's the weekend before finals, and my finals are all on Tuesday so I gotta study hardcore. So whether I come or not, and if I do come, how long I stay, depends on how I feel about how much I've studied/how much I have left to study. BUT, if I do come, I shall be bringing two friends of mine, one of which I brought to April's SJC.

The sale sounds rad, and I will be continuing my 'going out of business sale' from last meet up.

TONS of stuffs still available: however, so as to not have to travel w/ hundreads of thousands of Yens worth of stuff and be worried sick about greezy fingeres griping it up...

Just LMK in this thread what you may be interested in- there is a chance I got it.

REFAN, Sal of the Wolves, Drex, Mono, Crutches and others know my stuff if no joke- they've been to my crib, erm, museum to see it.

It takes a little doing to arrange a trip to NJ with the wife and kiddo at home, but the permission slip is signed. They may even be making a trip up with, who knows.

As far as the tournament, I was thinking of hosting a Dokapon Journey tournament. For those that haven't played, its tagline is "the friendship destroying rpg." It has all the basic rpg elements: swords, armor, magic, monsters, but its played on a board with a spinner for movement, etc. The game itself is ok, but beating up your friends and stealing all of their stuff is amazing.

Let me know if that sounds good to anyone, and I will have some prizes in tow.

Are we sure that these play the same? Or is it simply Kingdom is the home console version, and Journey is the portable version?

Well, I've never played DK, and I own DJ. There is a download play option so we would only need 2 games and we could have up to 8 ppl playing at once. My only concern with the tournament is having each round be long enough for the game to develop, without taking forever. So I figured with enough DS's we could knock out each round faster.

We probably haven't. I was only at one SJC, and that was REALLY early in the morning, like 11 O'Clock. I was just buying video games and asking questions last time, and playing the MVS machine. Left by like 12 Noon.

I actually love Eternal Champions. But then again, I've more or less gotten used to the game's difficulty. Gotten up to the Eternal Champion 5 times, and I've only beat him twice.

I have the Sega CD game too, but no Sega CD to play it on. If I'm able to sell this CIB Chrono Trigger that I'm bringing with my trade stuff, I'll probably pick one up.

I will be more than happy to handle the import PSX-ing. Think I'll bring the xrgb2, too. We can fire up my new monitor (thx again).

I'm getting pretty hype for this shindig.

No one has sent any request my way for items they are interested in.

Again, my entire collection is up for grabs- I'll take cash, baby diapers size 4 (CIB only), and copys of Final Fight revenge for J-Saturn.

Boxed Neo w/ extra stick and memory card, shockboxed MVS stuffs, super converter II, godtrooper and zenki *MINT* for PC-FX, all sorts of fly jawns.

The Samsho V Special (last of the Mohicans edition) *may* still be available, depending on how things go today...all sorts of stuff left tho.

As far as Eternal Champions goes, I had fond memories of it and I downloaded it when it came out on Wii's Virtual Console. I was pretty sad that it didn't seem to stand up to the test of time, but playing Vs. a human could restore some of the fun value. I'll be turning cats gold left and right with Xavier, or putting them in a trance with Midnight.

Anyone ever play the sequel, Challenge From the Dark Side?

My son and I had a great time there yesterday.

He woke up early today (7:30 - pretty early on a Sunday when you were up to 2:30 playing 360 games!) He wanted to play with his Transformer robot/car that we go yesterday, and he wants to play Nemo on the 'Cube that we got yesterday too.

Good times yesterday, and good shopping. Thanks again to all involved!

OOOOPS!

Just went to play Finding Nemo on the Gamecube, and the wrong disc was in the case! My kid wasn't too happy - he's been talking about playing this game since we left the store.

Nick, you might want to investigate. Somewhere you have Backyard Baseball and Finding Nemo swapped. The handwritten number on the case was 122.

Sorry about that...looks like Dave swapped the discs by mistake. I have the finding nemo here...do you want me to send you the disc or do you want to wait until your gathering?

A week early - June 27th - Who says we can't have two gatherings in a month.

A week late - July 11th - Plenty of rest between gatherings so there is no excuse not to get here early and stay late.

Check your calendars and post the best date for you and I will decide once most of you chime in.
