N64 Transfer Pack? What is this thing for? I've heard you can transfer Pokemon from Red/Blue to Pokemon Stadium. Is that it? Or is it kinda the Super Gameboy for the 64?

Whats with Wario Land 2? 1 gray one and 1 black one? I cant find the rarity of them. Or I can but I don't know which it is. Whats the difference? Which should I get. Is the Black one considered a color game? aaarghh...

Is Megaman 5 the rarer of the 6 Nes games? I still have never ran into it.

Sorry just didn't want to start 3 threads for questions that have been bothering me. Thanx in advance.

ahhh.... pretty good. Man you are 4X as motivated as I am lazy! LOL

So the N64 pack is crap. Unless your playing pokemon. Perfect Dark sounds Neat. Is it though? Probably not.

About the other 2. Why would I got to some web site that doesn't specialize in video games when I'm apart of the best one right now? Hmm...

I have searched for Wario Land 2 and most places don't egnolige both just one. It's weird. The auctions do not even state gray or black? Its frustrating. Also I was wondering more what people think about the differences? Or collecting classic grey version or updated colorized? black? Is it worth it? Are the black carts considered color. I don't even think we have both listed. Also nothing in the say interesting factoids in Warioland 2's page about another version. Hmm.. I'll go check into this. But yeah it's definitly more confusing than....say....Nes 1942.

OK checked and there both there.

And as for Megaman 5. I know what the rarity lists say. I'm just wondering if it might be harder to find and what people think about that. And yes I know you can find it on Ebay...

From Wikipedia:

"Wario Land II is a video game released for the Game Boy in 1998.[1] It was the last first-party title made for the Game Boy and was later remade to take advantage of the Game Boy Color hardware."

"Black cartridges are designed for the Game Boy Color and will also work on previous systems, as they have a similar design to the original grey Game Boy cartridges."

Notice the rating change. One of the few games to receive two different ratings.

This is the most awesome spelling of anything, ever. Tell me you're a product of the United States public school system.

Based on just my experience in the wild alone, I've seen more copies of Mega Man 6 than I have of 5. Don't come across either one that often, though.

It took me a couple minutes, but I think this is "acknowledge". This is a fun game, gimme another!

In my experience Mega Man 1 is the hardest to find, but 5 is probably second hardest, followed by 4. I'd probably rank them 2,3,6,4,5,1 in order of most common to least.

I forgot which Mega Man it is, but either Mega Man 4 or 5 is pretty rare and can go for $30-$40.

The difference between the gray Wario Land 2 and the black Wario Land 2 is that one is for GB, one is for GBC. The only difference should be the color palette for the GBC version.

Oh, and the N64 transfer pak is a must if you play Pokemon games. In addition to transferring Pokemon, you can use Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2 to play the GB Pokemon sans Crystal (I think) on your TV. You can actually unlock extra speeds for it and play the games in 2x and 3x speed. It helps you grind faster if you're having trouble with a particular part, or just helps you coast through the more tedious parts... (though if you have played through enough to unlock the 3x speed, you'd be used to tedium)

carlcarlson has it right regarding the rarity of the Mega Man games.

From what I've seen Megaman 5 is the hardest to find Megaman. My order goes like this 2,3,4,6,1,5

I am not sure if "funnier" is a word either. I have Megaman 1 if anyone is interested in buying it.

"Let me google that for you" is now my favorite thing ever. I had no idea that existed.

Well if you like playing games in color, then go for the black Game Boy Color version as it still plays on regular Game Boys in black and white and newer ones in color. If you are a collector and like Wario a lot, get both like I did. Then you get to play the same game twice. Once in B&W and once in Color.

I think there's some kind of restriction on how you can save if you play the black Wario Land II on an original Game Boy, but I've never been clear on the details.

I am pretty sure that Pokemon Stadium 1 is not compatible with Gold and Silver, though. (Box and inventory management appears to be much, much simpler with Pokemon Stadium than it is with the normal Game Boy interface, at least.)

Huh? You just need the GBC version for both... the only catch is that it only has one save file on the cart and for no reason I can understand the GBC and GB/SGB (Super Game Boy -- try it with either version, this is one of the best SGB games out there! A bunch of borders, great color choices, etc... awesome stuff.) versions require completely separate save files. You must erase the save file in order to play on the other system.. and with only one file, that's a big problem. So yeah, if you don't want to have to do that, I guess two copies does make sense... but otherwise, no. :) (I've played it through twice, on SGB and GBC, but only after the cart erased itself did I do the second playthrough)

The Nintendo 64 Transfer Pak is used for all of about 5 or 6 US Nintendo 64 games. Probably the most useless N64 peripheral.

Pokemon Stadium - Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow Transfer, ability to play Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow on big screen.

Pokemon Stadium 2 - Same as Pokemon Stadium, only using Gold/Silver/Crystal and adding Mystery Gift.

Mario Tennis - Unlocks stuff when GBC version is in Pak.

Mario Golf - Unlocks stuff when GBC version is in Pak.

Mickey's Speedway USA - Unlocks Huey when GBC version is in Pak.

Perfect Dark - ???

Rask, have you ever wondered what would happen if you tried looking for yourself? Possibly good things. Certainly nothing more embarrassing than this thread could happen, unless you decided to search behind the local mom 'n' pop with a beer helmet and one of those doctor's magnification lenses (also, wearing adult diapers on your head).

On the Transfer Pack, I bought one (really cheap though) for Perfect Dark. AHAHAHAHAH! I haven't gotten to use the Pack yet. Worst GB Color game I've played thus far (but I haven't played many, and others come pretty close). That's saying quite a bit actually. In PD it lets you...well, why don't you guys Google it if you care. Cheats though, and nothing (I don't think) that you can't win normally.

On Black vs. Grey: Black is the almost surefire sign of a Color game; grey, of an original title.

No, black carts are dual-mode carts, that are both original Game Boy titles and Game Boy Color titles. Clear carts are the Game Boy Color only ones.

Most black-cart games are just a B&W and color mode of the exact same thing, but as Wario Land II shows, sometimes there are feature differences. There are a few more of those that I know of --

-Conker's Pocket Tales actually has completely different level designs and save systems between the two platforms. Like WLII you need to erase the cart to try the other game.

-R-Type DX only lets you play the straight ports of the original two R-Type GB games in a B&W Game Boy; you cannot access the DX mode or colorized modes, and there is no saving, either of highscores or for letting you continue (via level select in the options menu) up to the last level you have reached. Even if it's unlocked, you can't do the minigame either, even though it's B&W only.
