I have had this forever and have not done anything with it. It is the metal red octane double pad dance game. I guess it retailed for like 400 or 500 new. It works on ps1, ps2, and xbox. I have it in the original shiping box in mint condition with the controller box adapter thing and everything inlcuded. any idea what its worth? It would be a lot to ship! Is anyone here interested in it?

You mean the Red Octane Afterburner? I used to have one of those. When they first came out 4 years ago, they sold for $200 + ship but now can buy them new for $150 shipped off the Red Octane site.

When you say 'dual platform edtion', you mean you've got 2 of them with the doubles bracket?

(BTW, shipping doesn't cost as much as you'd think. I shipped a NIB afterburner pad via Fed Ex a while ago and it only cost $23.)

i dont think this is the same as the afterburner, mine has a red colored control box, mine came as a set with 2 pads joined together, i think this might be something hard to find and more valuable.

Are you sure it's from Red Octane? The Afterburner is the only metal pad they made. There was an older version of the AB but it was just a single pad and not a doubles version. Maybe you just got 2 singles connected together?

If you can post a pic of it, I can tell you what it is. Are you sure it's not a Cobalt Flux doubles kit?

i think this might be an older version of the afterburner, it is definitely red octane, but its black, not just silver like the afterburner on red octanes sight, the original shipping invoice is still attached and just says red octane metal pad. it was shipped in 2004 if that helps. the thing weighs a ton i cant even get it out of the box lol.

Unfortunately, the resale value on these larger pads has dropped to almost nothing. DDR is not the hot title it was just a few years ago and these pads take up a huge amount of space. I have seen a couple of the older "dual platform" Red Octane metal pads like new in the box go for under $100 on Ebay and Amazon Marketplace in recent months. I don't think this really offers anything more than the Afterburner gives you and that is technically a newer and more refined pad which they sell for $150 new. I believe MSRP on the dual version you are describing was $300 at release. I'd say you can get $100-$125 if this is really mint/complete, but shipping is going to make selling it very, very difficult.
