I don't know much about it, but would like to finally get into Neo Geo.

I'm thinking I'd like a system that's S-Modded w/at least 1 controller and a few games (if possible, I know some of the stuff for this system is really expensive). The box/instructions for the system aren't needed (or even wanted since this adds to the price and it's just more junk I have to store in an attic), however, cases (and more importantly instructions) are fine. They have shockboxes for all the games right? So if the games are loose I could just make those.

Anyways, I'm willing to spend $400-900 (or more) so feel free to send me what you'd like to sell if you want to get rid of some/all of your neo geo stuff.

I pay by paypal and would only like to deal w/people in the continental united states. Please do not include s/h in your prices as you can use my UPS account (so it gets billed to me). Thanks.

Just trying to offer a helping hand here. Are you looking for an AES (home system) or a CMVS (consolized MVS board)? I think you're referring to AES but I just want to make sure.

You're correct, AES is what I'm looking for. I would have specified that if I knew that another version existed - yikes. I knew about MVS carts (and how they're cheaper), but I guess I was thinking those were for arcade boards only. I read the wikipedia on neo geo, but apparently I need to find a neo geo for dummies. I'm sure there's plenty of great info in the forums, but I can't search for mvs, aes, neo, or geo on the forums since they're all 3 letters.

Thanks Blur your explanation pretty much answers everything! I'd definitely just go the converter route if I ever feel the need to get some mvs carts =)
