Thoughts on Assasins Creed 2?

After watching the e3 presentation on assasins creed 2, am i the only one who thinks although the new flying machine and other features are cool, the game looks exactly the same as assasins creed 1? Also how does he blend in and not stand out with a bunch of italians around and hes wearing a white hooded robe, lol?

Well since the demo does take place during a Mardi Gras type parade, one can assume they don't find it suspicious when people dress up, or they may (again) assume that you're a Monk. It looks like they improved upon a lot of things from the first game and hopefully won't have such an abrupt ending as the first one did. As for it looking the same, it's a sequel, so of course the game play is going to look and play similar to its predecessor. The graphics however look a lot better than the first, I was floored on how stunning the game looked when I first saw the video, can't wait to get my hands onto this one.

I didn't have a problem with the graphics of the first game. I just thought it got really repetitive. All the towns started looking the same, and you had to complete exactly the same tasks in each one. It was a cool premise, but it started to get old pretty quick.

I think this game is gonna be awwwwesome. It just bumped Brutal Legend off my top 3 list.

Dude, I've been in Italy/Venice for Carnivale (Mardi Gras), nobody would give Enzio a 2nd look ... in fact, they'd probably think his costume was pretty conservative in comparison to some of the flashier ones. Here are some examples of traditional Carnivale garb ... HUGE groups of people walk around in these in broad daylight all week long.

Visually, a real stunner. Didn't play much of the first one, but really liked jumping from great heights.

I rented the original and played it for a few hours, but eventually became bored by the repetitive nature of the gameplay and just stopped. I'd be willing to give this a shot if they can improve upon their initial concept and spice things up a bit.

i got so bored with it too, but there was just something about it that made me keep playing and i finished the game. It is such a unique game.
