PS 3 Question

I just signed up to PS network and downloaded my first game but for whatever reason I cannot find it on the console. I viewed the transactions and everything. I know I sound stupid and I must be missing something very easy but please can someone help me find it on my console. I am an Xbox live guy so I am new to all this PS3 stuff

Did you by any chance click on "Download in background"? If so, the game probably hasn't downloaded yet. Go the Playstation Store front page and at the top of the screen you will be able to see "Store top". There's four small icons to the right of that (on the other side of the screen). Click on the one that says "View Downloads" and you'll be able to see how much of the game has downloaded. Only one item downloads at a time (if I remember rightly) so if there's anything else downloading you might want to pause it until your game downloads.

It is downloaded.......what menu on the PS3 will I find my games to play them after they are dowloaded

Just a little advice....

Don't buy videos form their video store unless you never want to be able to download it again. It's a one time download so if you lose it you're borked. Lame as hell, I buy nothing from their video store cause I had to format and couldn't even back the damn thing up.

Game downloads on the other had are unlimited up to 5 consoles. Trick is alot have lock-outs, so if you try and share say Warhawk with a buddy and he uses on his system you are locked out on any other system for 24 hours.

Don't see it on the botom...when I go to game my options are Game data utility..Memory Card Utility, Saved Data Utility, Trophy collection....I don't see it...Am I doing something wrong..

I am pretty sure I downloaded....when I go to my transactions it says it is complete.. I can even go into my history and download it again...I don't know what I am doing wrong. The game is NHL arcade..

You don't have to reboot the console kind of like a computer do you?

No. You download, it creates an install file. Basically the game in a oval type thing, you install it, then it turns to a square in a folder or outside of a folder depending on if you have it collapsed or not.

Try going to Account Management and activate your PS3 for downloaded content. One for games, one for video.

I did that too....when I go to the PS store and look for NHL Arcade game it tells me I bought it already...I added funds to my wallet and my wallet is empty now... I know I purchased the game and downloaded...It must be somewhere....Where the hell is it???? I am getting frustrated!!

Try downloading it again? Are you also sure you bought the game and not download content?

This might be obvious, but Sony does have technical support for the PS3. And from my experience its not even Indian.

Good luck, I have no idea why it is not showing up under GAME in the XMB.
