Any hints on how to put the screen protector on a ds with getting bubbles underneath it?

Apply it very carefully smoothing from one side to the other. Don't put it straight on, lay it down from one side to the other, than way the air goes in one way and out the other, and be very delicate when you put it on.

I've tried numerous times and I've never been able to get one on without bubbles but then again I'm not very delicate either

Use the hot shower trick (work in your bathroom
1) Steam up your shower room (that will remove most of airbourne dust)
2) Switch on the vent if it gets too steamy.
3) Have scotch tape ready and a can of compressed air.
4) Clean the screens with a microfiber cloth and then used compressed air.
5) Quickly peal a section off the protectors and stick it onto the screen.
6) As you are applying the section, start peeling off the rest and stick the protector onto the screens.
7) If you see any bubbles, use a credit card (or the supplied card) to start pushing the bubbles out.
8) If you see any bubbles remain or dust, then using the scotch tape, tape the a corner of the protector and lift it off the screen (just the corner close to the bubble). Then use another piece of scotch tape and use it to stick to the adhesive (static sticking) side of the protector to remove the dust.
9) Push the protector back on to the screen and repeat 7) and 8) if necessary.
10) Good Luck

I just apply it from one side to the other, using the edge of a credit card to push it down - has worked every time, it's like applying car vinyl

Yupp, I'd give the same advice. That's what I always do and I rarely have bubbles.

And as always, practice makes perfect.

I used a solution on my psp when I put it on.
1st Get a spray bottle
2nd Put 1 drop of liquid soap
3rd Add water
4th spray on sticky part of protector
5th apply to screen
6th use credit card to push out bubbles.

This method worked, on my psp I only have 2 tiny pen circle size bubbles.

BEST OF LUCK. :) :)
