I know everyone's already moved on from this one, but I figured I'd chime in with some final thoughts, after finishing the game about a week ago. While it wasn't absolutely amazing, it did get better the more I played, and I ended up really liking it. Throughout the game there were plenty of cool creatures and stuff to collect, so it continued to hold my interest.
If I can lodge one more complaint it's that I maxed-out all my weapons well before the end of the game, and had hoped that there'd be a few more upgrades.
Also my favorite area was probably the Central Park graveyard.

By the way, someone was telling me the other day that interest in a third movie has suddenly been revived?

Yeah there's a Ghostbusters 3 movie in development, its being scripted by the writers of "The Office" and "Year One".

Raising this from the dead with some news and a word of warning:
NEWS: The PSP version of Ghostbusters was released today. $29.99. It is based on the Wii/PS2 cartoon-style engine. I picked it up in the hopes that - after several months of being out there - the programmers may have worked out the bugs, glitches, and lock-up problems and tis would make for a tasty little portable game.
WARNING: They didn't. Midway through the second scene - not level, SECOND SCENE - the game froze, the screen flashed "GAME DISC UNREADABLE", then the screen went black. It then went POP and the system shut down. It then rebooted. I popped this disc out immediately, threw it back in the case, and will return it in the morning for my money back. I ain't going through THIS crap again.
So Sniderman says, "PSP Ghostbusters is still just as buggy as the other bargain versions! Stay the hell away!"

Maybe you need to boil it first. (Or call in a priest. Wait.)

Did you try playing some happy music for it? :)

RAY: It responds to music, so we've been doing some experimentation. Playing easy listening. Middle-of-the-road type stuff. You know, Paul Young, Dust In The Wind, that works okay.
PETER: It works for me.
EGON: It loves Jackie Wilson.
Music: "(Your Love Has Lifted Me) Higher and Higher'

I just tinkle the last two keys on a piano. It hates that.
