Is there any special techniques or something for completing this level? After you pick the guys up the cops are everywhere and even if you get away they are on most of the blocks and they see you and start chasing you again. The worst part is that there are usually cops waiting at the hideout and it is basically a dead end.
I was wondering if there were any shortcuts or something else to help with this level that I might be missing.

If I remember this level correctly, halfway through you stop to pick up a few guys inside a courtyard, and then have to evade the cops. First do a 180 when you get to the pickup spot, so you don't have to back up to flee. I think if you first go across to the other side of the courtyard, the cops waiting at the entrance will tend to roll out and run into each other/buildings. Then take off and go to the hideout.
THis level is nothing compared to the final level, however...nearly impossible to finish.

Goodwill remembered it correctly. As far as the last level goes......many many gamers resorted to an invincibility cheat code just to be able to finish the game. It's almost a necessity. There's no shame in resorting to it with THIS game.

I beat Driver legitimately. I'll tell you guys one thing though, no mission in the game comes close to how difficult the last mission is. I had to restart that mission atleast 20-30 times if not more before I ended up finishing it.
I won't ruin any of the storyline about what you're supposed to do in the last mission, but I'll end up saying that you really don't have any shortcuts to take and you are driving in a limo that goes much slower than the majority of other cars. The people chasing you are like playing that one mode to see how long you can survive from the cops(the one that they start all around you.) The damage they do just hitting you from the back is enough to make you lose the mission.

I can make it to pick up the guys fine, because you can obey the law and you won't have any problems, but after picking them up, it's downhill from there.
To top it off, you are telling me it is going to get worse!!!!
I try not to use codes when I'm trying to beat a game the first or second time through, so for now I'm holding off.
Well, I guess I'll go give it another shot!
