Original versions of Sierra games are highly collectable. If it's totally complete and in nice shape, it's worth picking up.

Which one is it - Leisure Suit Larry or Leisure Suit Larry 1?

The original is worth a ton, the remake (which has the 1 on the title) too but not so much. But yeah, they're worth at least $20 complete and in good shape.

LSL1, 2, 3, 5, and 1 remake were available in floppy disks. I'm pretty sure 6 only came out on CD, but I could be wrong.

If i had to guess i would say it did not have the 1 on the side. What would it be worth without the 1?

What color was the box? I thought most of the earlier ones came on 5.25. I could be wrong if they came on LD 3.5 disk.

I think part 1,2,3 came on 5.25. Part 5 and Laffer Utillities came on HD 1.44 3.5 disk.

Are the old Leisure Suit Larry games really that valuable? I saw 4 of them that have been sitting around at the flea market all summer long marked $5 each. I opened one up when I first saw them and IIRC it had both 3.5 floppies & 5.25s.

I'm pretty sure it was the first four games I saw (1-5 skipping 4)

Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards
Leisure Suit Larry Goes Looking for Love (in Several Wrong Places)
Leisure Suit Larry III: Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals
Leisure Suit Larry 5: Passionate Patti Does a Little Undercover Work

The pink box is the original, the blue box with a pair of legs and Larry wearing sunglasses is the remake. Some copies came with both 5.25 and 3.5" floppies.

The pink box might be worth quite a bit if it's in good shape.

Just to let you know, in case you didn't already, there is no Leisure Suit Larry 4. They skipped that number so that they would be in sequence with the Space Quest and Kings Quest series.

I thought Al Lowe ate the source code for part 4. :P

Depends a bit. I found 4 of them on 4 different CD-roms in original jewel cases for a quarter each. Thought about keeping them, and would have if they were complete, but just the discs didn't really interest me. Sold Lounge Lizards w/ Casino an netted $5.65. Sold Love for Sail w/ Shape Up and netted $14.55.

So, not a whole lot for loose copies like that, but with the big box should add a nice amount to the value.

It depends a LOT on the game, ever since Sierra released those crap budget DOSBox compilations the prices took a huge dive.

Actually I read something about this. They actually skipped four because Larry doesn't believe in foreplay.

True story.

It was definitely the pink box one, i will be by that same store tomorrow and will grab it if they still have it. They also had a few other older pc games in big boxes like prince of persia 3d, but that one seems to be worthless.

Please try to make a list of what they have. I'm always looking for classic (but cheap) games for my collection. Maybe we can work something out. :)

I stopped by and took a look at it again, it ends up i was wrong, it was a pink box but the game is the 3rd one, the patti pectorals something wrather. It says on the box it comes with 3.5 and 5.25 disks, but the only think in the box is the 3.5 version on 4 discs for dos, the manual is in the box too. I paid 5.99 for it. The other games they have are all priced 9.99 and not worth it really kitsune, i think someone bought the prince of persia, i did not see it.
