I have heard the mad bomber in Kaboom! will produce a shocked expression if you achieve a certain score, although I have never been able to pull it off myself.
It's not going to be that great graphically, but it might be oddly satisfying to see.

When it comes to shocked, I always think the big !! in MGS, and sequals.

The one I think of is on Indoor Sports for the C64. In bowling, when you nearly fall over, your guy in the upper right hand corner's eyes and mouth hit perfectly round. Pretty funny stuff.
