Hi gang,
This topic came up on the AA board, but it looks like noone has completed this task! ;)

So excluding label variations (saving you from Atari BMX Airmaster and Silver Gravitar, among others) who has or is near completing an NTSC atari 2600 collection? Manuals and boxes are nice but this is cart only. After market releases like Ebivision and other homebrews are nice, but also don't need be counted.

Leonard Herman says he is two carts away. (Air Raid and Gauntlet)

I know Al Backiel has quite a collection as well :hail:

I myself am quite a ways off at 357 carts. I do have Obelix, Music Machine, Glib, Quadrun, & Q*bert's Qubes though :)

How close are you???

Cheers,
Ben

I have 234 of the 508 games in DPG7 (46%).
Not counting label/mfr variations (such as Sears) I have a little over 50%.
I was climbing steadily for a while and seemed to hit a roadblock, though in the past few weeks I've been getting some more through trades and such.

Still a long way to go......

508? I thought it was more than 1000 with stuff being added constantly. Is this excluding South American releases? What about all those weird hacks and pirates? Do you just mean US releases?

I know I have nearly 500 2600 carts and I am not nearly close to even half the US collection alone.

It has always been my estimate that the top 10 world collectors have around 90-99% of the released carts combined.

Just a guess. No one has em all.

Not including label variations, it looks like I need 84 to be complete. (add 5 for reasonable label variations - 3 sears, silver gravitar, and Atari BMX)
