How much does an Atari 2600 Jr. go for without the Female to Male converter and no controllers?

Female to Male converter
What on Earth is a 'female to male converter', and why would you use it with an Atari 2600 Jr.? Or are you talking about the RCA cable to go to the TV?

Yes, I'm talking about the RCA cable that goes to the TV. It's one of the thicker ones that wont go into Coaxial.

Juniors aren't worth much IMO. I wouldn't pay more than $10 for one and without controllers or anything, probably not even that.

I paid $12 for mine at a Goodwill about 3 years ago now. It had 5 or so games, and 2 joysticks. No AC or RF adapter.

Luckily I already had one of those cheap multi-plug AC adaptors, and one of these:

Although you can find non gold plated ones a lot cheaper.

Hook the RCA plug end into your Jr. and connect a coaxial cable to it, and then to your TV. The Jr's output signal is sorta weak so you can't use an NES/Sega RF adaptor. If you hook it up this way it helps to turn on your Atari before you turn on your TV, as some newer TV's need have trouble locking onto the signal (if you turn on the TV first). At least that's how it is with my Sony HDTV.

Also you can use SMS and Genesis compatible controllers in place of the joysticks- if you have any lying around. I prefer these to the joysticks, personally.

I wouldn't pay much over $20 for a complete (and clean) system with a few games.

$15 sounds fair, but only with all hookups, power supply, and a joystick thrown in. The Jr. isn't really sought after, there were a bunch of them released to compete with the NES, and it can be a bit more unreliable and prone to breakdown (the switches) than the bigger heavier stalwarts of 2600-dom.
