SMS 3D Glasses Repair

I scored a Master System recently with 3D glasses. I'm excited to say that they appear to function perfectly, but as is very common the "arms" of the glasses are broken off. I have both arms, but the connections are completely broken.

Has anyone come up with a good idea to repair these? I'm contemplating purchasing some small hinges from the hardware store and using a strong glue to glue the hinge to the glasses and the arms. It won't look the best, but if I can find the appropriate parts it should work.

Before I start putting permanent glue on the glasses, I figured I'd see if anyone has successfully repaired the glasses here.

A while back I was looking for a broken pair of those glasses so I could get them at a reduced cost. What you are planning to do is what I figured I would have to do. Instead of the hardware store though, I was planning on going to a glasses store, like Lenscrafters, to see if they had something that might fit (and possibly look) appropriately.

I had two pair, one with a broken left arm, one with a broken right arm. Now I have one pair with two broken arms and one pair that is perfect ;-P

The Famicom 3D goggles are a nice alternative to the brittle Sega glasses. They work perfectly with the SMS, and if you wear glasses, they are very comfortable with them on. They are also delicate, but they have a headstrap as opposed to temples. (See my signature)

I can't speak for the SMS goggles, as I haven't found a cheap set yet, but I will say that I freaking LOVE my Famicom 3D Goggles. They fit nice, I can wear them over my glasses, and they work really well too.

But don't the SMS ones go in the card slot? How does one plug in the Famicom plug to that? Or, does it use the nifty "I-look-like-a-headphone-connector" portion of the cable, before it his the 15-pin adapter? (Forgive me, I've never seen a set of SMS glasses IRL.)

Yes, that's what it uses; the headphone connector thing.

I paid about $50 for mine, but they were brand new.
