tl;dr version:

Go figure, Atari contracted the development of the games out to Majesco who then subcontracted out to Mistic Software to do the actual dirty work. Mistic Software's dev branch out of the Ukraine, Mistic Soft LLC, decided to basically use a build of SCUMMVM 0.9.0 instead of actually porting the games themselves.

So lawsuit ensues and now the games are going to get ganked from the shelves.

Long Version (http://sev-notes.blogspot.com/2009/06/gpl-scummvm-and-violations.html)

If you're collecting Wii games, you may want to snap 'em up while you can.

edit - Woops, misspelled Freddi. Please don't kill me.

Also, I never seem to see Freddi Fish locally. Spy Fox and Pajama Sam are a dime a dozen, but Freddi? Not in a while :(

That's a shame, they're very good children's educational games.

I never bought it because I still have my original CDs from ten years ago.

I was unaware about people caring about children in the first place...

Best Buy still has tons of copies of all three. Not sure how much these will really be worth given they have already sold many copies and have been out for at least six months.

Really? All three of the local BBs here in Los Angeles have 5-6 copies each. One even has them on sale at 50% off or $10.

Keep in mind that they sued Atari in Germany. Here in North America, the game is published by Majesco, so this might not affect anything over here (hell, I'm not even sure if this would mean anything for the rest of Europe). Though I imagine Majesco is aware of the situations and may take their own actions.
