Long story short about my xbox's. The first one I bought I tried to mod it and the second one I bought was off of Ebay and sounded like a Windows 95 Computer when you started it up. That one broke eveuntally too but not by me, it just started giving me a No Disc error message.
I have at least 10 more Xbox games that I need to play because of their awsomeness but that's gone down the toilet. Gamestop offers pre owned ones for $50. What should I do?
Now for the PS2. I've had this since launch date. But controller port 1 is broken. And i don't know if i can play all my games using controller port 2 for one player. To buy a pre owned one is another $50. I've been thinking about getting a PS3 for a long time now but it's just too expensive. What should I do?
Help!

If you got money to spend, buy NEW Ps2 and Xbox consoles; you can get the new slim model of the Ps2 and check on several online sites for a new Xbox.
You can also buy a PS3, it has nice games :D

How exactly did you break your xbox trying to mod it? Generally speaking, unless you physically damage the thing they're nearly impossible to kill outright.

you can get a used ps2/xbox for under $60 a piece easily. like a previous poster said, you could go to craigslist and find both for dirt cheap in many cases.

For the Xbox-the DVD drive tends to crap out on those things fairly easily. Unless you've got some data on that box that just won't copy to a memory card, get another used. It'd be cheaper than trying to get your hands on a Samsung Xbox drive these days. I really haven't seen a NEW Xbox at a decent price. At least, not that I would have been willing to spend.
I'd agree with those that said buy a new PS2 Slim. More reliable and brand new to boot.

craigslist is your friend.
As are flea markets and local yard sales. That way you can get a good price without worrying about any shipping cost. There are tons of cheap Xbox'x and PS2's listed on my local craigs list.
