The casino games are actually pretty fun and addictive.

Don't think they're bad, just unnecessary to make so many games when the GB of Caesar's Palace has all that and a bag of chips. But really perplexed why US got the short end of the stick.

I wouldn't take them as being released in lieu of other titles. I don't think we would've gotten Cotton and Ogre Battle and what have you if they passed on the casino series. It was basically their weak attempt at attracting some adult gamers to the NGPC who wouldn't otherwise be interested. But, yeah, they definitely could've been squeezed onto one cart.

I'm sure that if the system survived a little longer we would have had Cotton and a few other games that had already been 'ported' to the UK that we hadn't yet recieved. The games were broken up that way in Japan, and i'm sure that the text translations wern't huge, so they were quick easy ports to give them more games, more shelf space ect.

After to Faselei! and The Last Blade, Dynamite Slugger was the next game that was going to get a US release. Based on what I have seen, I think that's about as far as SNK USA got before they close up shop. It's a shame we didn't get Picture Puzzle or Cotton.

I want to know more about those packs that had a loose system and six games in them.

Why was this ever released? If you don't mind loose games, it seems like a pretty great deal... four great games, Samurai Shodown 2 and King of Fighters R-2!

Those were released after the death of the NGPC. First store I ever saw them in were the Discovery Channel Stores that used to be in every mall under the sun. Then they started to show up in some Electronics stores (Fry's Electronics carried them for sure, i'm sure other places like regional stores had them as well).
Those were done simply to move stock and had nothing to do with SNK America. The people that got ahold of the old stock, just repackaged them and moved them to market. They were sold for like 50 bucks (getting a system + 6 games at that price was pretty good). The games (and system colors changed), though I only ever saw Silver and Blue systems in them personally. They also did game 4 packs as well, with some variation to them.

The two systems I found in blisters were the blue camo and clear down here.
