Des Moines / Omaha Area

Just wondering if there would be any interest in the Des Moines or Omaha area for some sort of classic gaming gathering. Probably something informal for starters, maybe an afternoon or evening of some specific system gaming with a small swap meet as well? With things the way they are locating a cheap hotel conference room or something similar should be a breeze. Let me know what you think. With no CGE this year it would be nice to do something locally as a cheap substitute.

I'm all for it. I've been wanting to attend one of these things my whole life, but have never had the chance, due to transportation issues primarily. Finally getting my car by the end of the summer hopefully (Yeah, six years late, as my friends say), so it's all good.

I'm new to this forum, I'm mostly on Atariage but I think it would be great to have a classic game gathering even if it is small. I have always wanted to attend one but the timing hasn't worked out. I am in Omaha.
