Anyone playing this right now? I know alot of people stay far away from this series due to its difficulty and/or required investment of time. I've finally decided to give it a go and have been enjoying it for the past week. I've downed a few of the Village Elder quest bosses (a couple of the Dromes, Yuan Kut Ku and Congalala) The damned pink ape took me about 6 tries and when I finally beat him it took about 20 minutes. I have avoided any help faqs yet, however I'm sure I'll have to resort to them soon to figure out the combining tables. I do like the depth of the game, I'm just not sure I'll be able to stay with it to the end.

Hope you have friends with the game or a PS3 and know people online to play Ad-Hoc party with. If you do want to go to the end of the game you'll be spending alot of time unless you work with other people. Or so I've heard atleast. I wasn't a fan of Monster Hunter's slow pacing(I think I completed two quests before I quit.)
