Well, I sure hope this hasn't been posted yet. (Did a search, but eh)

Panoramic views of Michael's arcade room. Some real gems in there, and a weird mix...as expected. Reading the information will tell you that this was not his arrangement, but instead an exhibition that wasn't in Neverland Ranch.

Nice!

Now I know why it's called Neverland!
Because my arcade is Never gonna look that good!

That is one fine arcade. He had good taste in machines.

Where is Moonwalker though?

That's mind blowing. I can see why he sued to get it back, that much awesome takes a long time to amass.

WOW! It's like a fanboy wonderland. I wonder if he really had a true intrest in all this stuff or it was to appeal to his guests?
Respect to him anyhow.

There was a related thread (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=128267) back when a bunch of his stuff went up for sale. Not much about the game collection specifically though.

Check out the carbonite block! Have to let the thing rotate almost the whole way before you can see it though.

Some crazy stuff in there like...a red Power Rangers suit? Weird.

I remember reading an article back in the 80's that mentioned him loving arcade games.

Yeah, and through speculation and even a doctor's analysis in court, it's been said that Mike never really grew up - and hey, I'm not saying that's the reason why he loves arcades (and I think we're all here because a tiny part of us never grew up, which isn't a bad thing), but I know that if I had all the money he did...well, there would be a lot less room to take photos in there.

Here's to the inner child.

When I grow up I'm gonna get a big house, and I'll have a whole floor dedicated to arcade games- it'll have all the classics, the 90s hits, pinball machines, and big wall sized pictures of myself.

Actually I was thinking Peter Pan wouldn't fit in an Indiana Jones movie, but what the hell!

I think that layout is actually the auction house's demo room with the MJ machines that were sold a couple months ago...

Yeah if you read the info that pops up at first, or click the little "i" at the bottom, it tells you all about it.

I had heard that Michael Jackson had a good sized arcade collection. I wonder if he had a home console collection too?

In the catalog there were some kiosks for Nintendo 64, Virtual Boy, and Sega Genesis/Game Gear up for sale, so I would assume yes.

Well, look at that. The King of Pop owned a Virtual Boy.

Hey, I also spotted a 3DO.

Yeah, those demo units are what excite me. That's f'n awesome. I saw a Dreamcast one too. I have a feeling that those demo units were not in working condition though and that whatever was in it that came with it stayed in it forever. There's a SNES and Genesis kiosk too. F'N sweet stuff.

Here's the online auction catalog. It shows all the games he owned and gives details on them.

He had those made so he wouldn't feel so lonely.

Some of the prices for the arcade machines and kiosks were VERY low... Or are those just starting bids?!

Can you Moonwalk on a DDR machine?

Those have to be starting bids. Those probably would have ended up going for more than current value when he was still alive. Now those might end up going for higher than original retail.

Well, I don't see a stack of games to go with those kiosks...so he may have not really been especially interested in any of his consoles. Who knows. Maybe he just bought kiosks as they came out so he could have them for the kids. Never really got into playing them too much, or trying new games? I sure wish we could ask him.

And to think many of us were disappointed by the Virtual Boy...MJ must have been VERY disappointed...
