Greetings...

I do partial cap replacements for $60. (Where I replace the 8 most common sound caps that fail.) And complete cap replacements (all 50+ caps on the board) for $150.

You would have to cover both shipping to and from Oregon, USA.

I highly recommend the full cap replacement. The caps don't just go on the sound, they go on the processing and laser operations as well, and if your sound is failing, your other caps WILL fail eventually as well.

Email burnside [at] kattare [dot com] for more details if you're interested.

Cheers.

Thank you for reply, the sound of my pc engine duo isn't gone totally, it's extremely low, I will need to rplace all caps?

I'm still searching for people that do pc engine repairs, if you have the best price I will do with you

Easy to say, hard to payMy point is that for the same price that guy is offering to fix your Duo, you could just buy another one.

You're in Japan? They might be $150 there. Here in the States, the prices on Duos are generally outrageous.

You're in Japan? They might be $150 there. Here in the States, the prices on Duos are generally outrageous.Mine was $50 complete in box. They are usually around $150-$200 complete in box in the main game shops in Tokyo, and they are also around that same price online on sites like ebay. SEE FOR YOURSELF (http://cgi.ebay.com/PC-Engine-DUO-Console-Boxed-8871-Import-JAPAN_W0QQitemZ270414530648QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_D efaultDomain_0?hash=item3ef5f64858&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A3|66%3A2|39%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50). So, in the States or in Brazil (where the OP lives), it's not difficult at all to get a Duo for $150 plus shipping. Of course, you are pushing $200+ with shipping... but isn't that still a better deal then just getting your old one fixed for $150?
