Hey guys,
Tried to do a search about the subject, but it did not yield any specific results. I apologize in advance is this is a repeated topic.
Thanks to the awesome member tubeway :) I am not interested in achieving an Atari Lynx CIB collection. Just those released in the US.
My friend Thomas (tom here on DP) told me that certain Lynx games were released as "big boxes". I pressume that later on, the same games were released in the smaller, common boxes.
Besides Gates of Zendocon, what other Lynx games came with a "big box"? Can anyone take a picture of these to know how they look?
Thanks in advance!

I have Blue Lightning and Electrocop in the big box. I can take some pics tomorrow.

Does it have any correlation to if the game is flat, has ridges, or a lip to remove the game from the system? Or is that completely unrelated?
The early flat cartridges were California Games, Blue Lightning, Electrocop, Gates of Zendocon, and Chip's Challenge...all those mentioned are among these so that's why I'm asking.

Ah, no wonder MyAtari (are they a good company?) states two different versions for sale!
A picture would be awesome. :)
jb143, I just checked my copy of Zendocon and it has what seems to be ridges? Where the label is I see the Atari symbol and next to it (on both sides) I see lots of small circle indentations. I then flip over the cart and I see the same indentations protruding through the plastics.
Is this ridged?
Nevermind...it's considered FLAT. :p

It does I believe. All my big box games have flat games

Yeah, that's actually the flat ones with the little dimples(hey, I didn't name them, I'd call it ridges too)...the ridged ones look like this on the back...

It also looks like the ridged ones were only available in the same 5 games but I doubt Atari would switch to a lager box for these then back. Or maybe these were both in bigger boxes. I don't really know as I'm just going by conjecture. All of my games have a curved lip except Blue Lightning anyways and I don't have any boxes either so don't take anything I say as fact.

Thanks for the info. :)
On a side note, is there any difference between PAL and NTSC copies? I've noticed that even those that said "Imported from France" have a multilanguage manual...but they also have the US Warranty Card! So are both versions, PAL and NTSC, the same for all regions?
Are there any actual differences?

Here are my oddities I have, including a boxed California Games and two different versions of the game flat and ridged

Since a television isn't involved, I don't think PAL vs NTSC necessarily needs to be a consideration when it comes to handheld game systems.
