So I'm playing CastleVania 64 and I have a question. I looked elsewhere but couldn't find an answer.

So I'm up to the part where you have to put the mandragora and the other stuff together to blast the wall apart. Well, I have the Mandragora and I need the other thing. But they won't let me carry both together.

So my question is, how do I GET RID OF the Mandragora so that i can pick up the other item i need?

You have to place the Mandragora first, then go get the Nitro. Have fun bringing the Nitro over there.

I tried placing the Mandragora first. It won't let me place it anywhere. Is there a specific place i have to put it. Yes I know by a cracked wall. But it's not letting me. Does it have to be placed a specific way or something?

Don't you get the Nitro first...? Or do you get multiple Mandragora...? I haven't played this in forever.

I haven't played in a long time but you have to search the wall to place it. The reason you can't carry both is because they both have a reaction and explode.

Look up a guide or something. Maybe something you might have to do first?

I was in the room with malice. I didn't even think to pick up the nitro. So then I went to the torture chamber. Got the Mandragora. Then I've been trying to place it anywhere and it won't work. So how do I either
A: Get rid of the Mandragora
B: Place the Mandragora down somewhere?

I have never played the game, but I found this in a walkthrough:

Save at the White Jewel and borrow some Magical Nitro from the cupboard. Be
warned, if you get hit or jump whilst carrying this stuff you will go kablooie!
Go to the cracked wall and set it down. Now, we need the Mandragora Root to set
it off, and that can be found in the Torture Room. And what luck, you have the
key. Remember, the Torture Room is at the very start of the level. So backtrack
to that door and once you've gone through..

You'll find two vampires, kill them (they're easy) and then search the shelves
for numerous items. Take a free Mandragora Root from the shelf and go to the
green door in the hall, but instead of going in, take the nearby double door.
Wow, a huge, dead, and odd looking ROTTING BULL! And, naturally, a Seal on a
giant cracked wall. Lay the Mandragora Root here, then go back to the Torture
Room to get more, and set it down next to the Nitro you set earlier. After the
explosion, which looked rather strange, whip the candle for a Roast Beef and
head into the door.

I sure do remember that part. Gave me some trouble back when I first played through the game.
