Hollywood Video is currently having a great sale on their used games. All $29.99 and under used games are being sold for $4.99. Just be wary that this is a YMMV sale. If your Hollywood Video has a Gamecrazy attached to it, you will probably not see this deal. Call ahead also as some Hollywood Videos may not currently be running the promotion.

Also as a collectors notice, some games may be in Rental Condition. The oddest ones are obviously the GCN games. I got them with instruction manuals and the actual cover in a generic DVD case. DS games will probably be the best value if they come in a case since they usually were traded in.

Also, your prices may vary from store to store. Some guy got MGS4 for $4.99, while my Hollywood Video was selling it for $34.99 making it ineligible.

Happy hunting.

Edit: Just want to mention that I was wrong about the pricing thing. If a game looks like it is priced to high, it probably is. As an example, the MGS4 I saw was actually $4.99 despite the price tag being wrong. Feel free to ask for price checks.

Now onto my personal grabbings:
Excite Truck, New Super Mario Bros., Mega Man X Collection, Pikmin (GCN), and GTA IV (PS3). My friend is scolding me for not buying Bioshock for 5 bucks.

Orange Box (360), Transformers (360), Red Steel (Wii), Excite Truck (Wii), Far Cry 2 (360), Supremem Commander (360), Fracture (360), Eternal Sonata (360)

I should probably add that some Movie Galleries may be having the sale too. Though some are still running the 3 for $15 deal on $7.99 games. Just make sure to call ahead to see if they are running the sale. Also call later in the week as my HWV mentioned they would be adding more games.

So I went to the Hollywood Video near my work and I did not expect to find anything. Once I entered, I was shocked to see this store was running the promotion. I understand these were rentals and these all had stickers, but for $5 you cant go wrong. I found the following:

-Rainbow Six Vegas (360)-$5, This game was complete with instruction manual and original green Xbox case.
-GTA 4 (360)-$5, Only the disc and rental case.
-Excitetruck (Wii)-$5, Only the disc and rental case.
-Bioshock (360)-$5, Only the disc and rental case.

The RSV and GTA 4 are for some friends that wanted them. The Excitetruck and Bioshock are for my collection. They also had some other good titles. The only downside was that some of the games the had there were faded due to the sunlight.

Just a heads up dudes. I was talking with a HV clerk today while purchasing some more games and he told me that the promotion is supposed to end tomorrow.

I didn't expect them to run it long...although I only have 1 and the MG I have aren't doing it.

This sale is still running at the Hollywood video by me, so I am sure there are still a few more out there running it too.

I went into a Hollywood Video about a week ago, and the selection was pretty poor. The dude behind the counter said some guy came in and bought 20+ PS3 titles to resell. Not cool, because that's mainly the games I went in looking for. While I understand some people need to make a living right now, there should be limits imposed- so people that actually play the games get a chance to buy them.

I walked out with a copy of Battlefront for the Xbox, with a broken case and no manual.

Yeah, I have heard some pretty bad stories about flippers over at slick deals where i originally heard about this deal.

I still do not see a drop in price for some of these games, even on eBay.

Flippers are doing what they do to make money, so I am not mad at them, it just sucks ass when flippers find out about the deal and ruin it for the people not planning on flipping games.

I made sure to go the day of the deal to ensure that I got some good shit.

It could have been a local thing about this ending, so I will go tonight after work and verify if the deal is over in Omaha
