Why is it so expensive??
The DVD & VCD are cheaper

VHS is out of Print and kind of hard to find
I sold mine for $50 a few days after Michael died

It used to be like $10-15 before MJ died, but since he died the price has gone up, and hasn't come back down. And since it's an already uncommon tape that's out of print with no US DVD release, I don't expect it to come down.

I got mine for 2 bucks from a Value Village in pretty much mint condition just a few months back. Too bad everything involving Michael Jackson is suddenly so expensive. Now it would most likely be in the display case with a 40 dollar price tag in the same Value Village.

Hopefully they release it on DVD in America now, otherwise I'll be looking for the LaserDisc version of the movie, which I imagine will be hard to find, but a lot cooler.

There isn't an official North American release of the movie on DVD.
The DVDs and VCD's are:
-Bootlegs, which may be of inferior quality.
-Only playable on multi-region DVD players.
The VHS version that is selling for more money is the only legitimate release from the American studio who owns the intellectual property.

The reason being is that the VHS version the the only OFFICIAL one here in the USA.
My brother one of the BIGGEST MJ Fans, still has his copy that he bought for really cheap on ebay years and years back will NEVER sell his.
