Hey everyone, I got a little problem. I tried playing smash bros brawl the other day and kept getting disconnected when online at the practice stage waiting for other players. Now I know the whole Channel stuff (I have it on auto right now), is there anyway that the 360 LIVE connection won't get crapped if I change the channel to the ones Nintendo recommend?

I have no problem at all playing in Spectator mode, and sometimes Team Brawl but usually get disconnected... especially in the play against anyone option. Anyone got any wise words for the brawless chap?

The Wii has a less than stellar Wi-Fi adapter, I'm not certain that changing the wireless channel is going to help the connectivity of Brawl (it might, but I'm not sure how much).

If you can pick up a USB ethernet adapter for the Wii and have it close enough to run a hard-wired connection I think that's your best bet on Brawl.

Brawl online is VERY succeptable to one bad connection mucking it up for the entire group of players ... and I wouldn't be surprised if what you're encountering is other players with bad connections knocking you off.

As far as the 360 wireless dongle ... while I don't have one, I would imagine it is fine picking up any channel (moreso that the Wii).

Yeah I just read about the slowest internet connection controls the whole matchup, which blows. I say drop the slowest! I barely have anyone on my friend list in brawl, is it any better if they are in your buddy list?

From my experience, Brawl has the worst online I've played. It's really laggy, and very hard to play. But, I don't have that much of a problem playing Brawl with my brother (who lives in the same city). If you add someone to your friends list, it shows a color next to the name to show how the connection is (green, yellow, red).

Ahh I was wondering what that circle meant, thanks! I guess going the local route is the way to go.
