So, my uncle gave me a bunch of old mac games on floppies, and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with pricing them, as I have no interest in them and most don't show up on completed listings.
They are all CIB

Loom

King's Quest V SEALED
King's Quest VI

Victory At Sea
SimEarth
Syndicate
AD&D Pools Of Darkness
AD&D Pools Of Radiance
AD&D Secret Of The Silver Blades
Monopoly
Might & Magic
Might & Magic II
Civilization
Baldur's Gate

Any help or offers on them would be appreciated,

Thanks

Could you go through the list and mark which are CD? Baldur's Gate would take up hundreds of floppies...

Mac games are odd. Some might be worth a ton, some might not really be worth anything. I'd definitely like to have some Mac games on floppy to play on my 90s PowerBook, but I wouldn't know what to offer. I will say that Loom and the RPGs might be worth a bit more than the others.

I'd suggest searching for, and then listing, these on Amazon. Loom turns up w/ a $70 price tag. I bet if you listed yours for $50 it would sell ... maybe not quickly, but quicker than $70 would. That's pretty much what I'd suggest doing w/ all them.

The problem I always have w/ selling cib computer games of most any kind is that they tend to come in HUGE FRICKIN BOXES making shipping difficult/costly.

Not to mention that it's next to impossible to ship them without the box getting flattened/bent out of shape.

Yeah, Baldur's Gate is CD, sorry.
NayusDante, send me a PM if you want to buy any of them.

I guess I'll make an amazon account and list them there. Is it hard to sell with no feedback? I usually just sell on ebay.

I'd put them on eBay with low starting bids. Loom will probably get up there, and I'm guessing the D&D goldbox stuff will as well. I'd LOVE to have a boxed copy of Loom for ANY platform, but I'm not ready to pay $70.

King's Quest, I'm hesitant to collect, since I have the anthology releases. Maybe someday when I find them for really cheap. I can't offer much of anything on those right now.

It isn't tough to sell w/ no feedback on Amazon, I'd say most people don't even pay that much attention to it. The problem is getting paid. When you first start, you have to wait to get paid so they can see that you will actually send stuff out. So I'd suggest just listing one thing at first. I dunno. Read the rules when you sign up, they might have changed it.

The nice thing tho is that even tho their fees are higher, you don't pay fees until your item sells, the fees come out of the money you get for selling the item, and you tend to get a lot more than you would on Ebay.

Yeah, I've heard about how you can get more money for some stuff on amazon, but have been reluctant to start selling on there because of all the horror stories about buyers screwing you over. Amazon fees are 15%, right? I always do BIN on ebay so the fees are the same. Guess I'll try it out when I get home from vacation on Monday.

It's the same w/ Ebay: you have to use delivery confirmation on everything you send out or someone can say they never rec'd the item. You should use insurance on anything that's a higher amount than what you'd be prepared to "eat." (I use it on everything that's around $40 and higher, your threshold might be less, but don't let it be more.) If you do that, you have nothing to worry about (unless you sell garbage).

That's the other reason I'm a bit reluctant to sell computer games: no way to test them. I still do, and usually don't have much of a problem. But that IS something to think about.

Alright, that isn't too much to worry about, I usually do get insurance for anything $50 or higher so I'l continue doing that on amazon.
