The Fairyland Story Level 95 - Unwinnable? (NM! It IS winnable!)

If you could reach the bracelet, stars would rain down and finish off the enemies... But is there a way to reach it? Ptomey or whatever her name is can only jump 4 blocks high and can't move in mid-air. I've tried for the past hour and even searched the web, only finding out someone else is also looking for an answer.

That same level has ended any chance I have of finishing this game, the enemies also don't jump out of the block boxes they are in. Only way I ever saw the ending on this game was to to use the cheat file for MAME and skip to level 96 and go from there, 101 is the end of the game and the last and only boss.

I Googled "フェアリーランドストーリー" and found http://circle.zoome.jp/arcade/media/53 - which is unfortunately 73 minutes long. I'll let you know how it ends once it finishes downloading.

This is kindof like the worlds most difficult trick on Lufia 2. Doesn't look so hard but damn I found it to be impossible without using some sortof video guide.

I beat Lufia 2 a few times and always skipped that because I'd try for 10 minutes and give up. After watching that video I know now that I had no idea what I was doing and it would have taken me days to possibly get it out.

All right, the way it is in the video is, starting from the position in your screenshot, jump up on the ledge immediately to the right, and walk right over to beneath the bracelet. :D Apparently with a sufficiently small jump you can land in that horizontal space and not end up inside the backwards-C thing.

Evil-looking game. Seems like the only feasible way to finish those last few levels is to trigger the appearance of the bracelet.

Thanks for the video! My brother and I just watched it and did the same thing. Just go to the edge, hold right and tap the jump button, and you'll magically end upon the platform (well most of the time). Well, glad that mystery is solved!

Watched the video to see the level 95 solution, and it's plain to see I could never make a jump quite that small, perhaps it's time to replay this one again.

Wow, glad I found this thread. I'd been stuck in exactly the same place. One thing I noticed is that you can't just go to the edge, *hold right*, and push jump to get on the ledge. You have to go to the edge, tap jump and then immediately afterward, push the stick right. Subtle difference, but it works.

Using this technique, it's even possible to beat the level without the bracelet. You can get to the top of the backwards "C" structure and jump a couple of times. The monsters will pop out of their boxes. Then you can kill them like normal.

You'll have to get into the right half of the screen to kill the disappearing guys. Same technique - move up against the edge of the single row of blocks on the bottom of the screen. Tap jump then IMMEDIATELY push right. You'll end up on the row of blocks.

This level is such a pain in the ass. I would have been seriously pissed if I'd come up against it on a real arcade machine (after dropping tons of quarters to even GET to round 95!!)

P.S. After level 95 or so, the continues stop working. Make sure you save the state if you're in MAME!

Reviving an old thread here. I too was stuck on level 95 and got pissed after a couple hours. So, finding nothing on Youtube, I used Google. This thread was the first hit. Hah! Weird thing is, I remember this thread now that I see it again. The continues do indeed stop working at level 99. I was playing the PSP version on Taito Legends. Man, was I pissed when I I got screwed on 99! The crappy thing is, I didn't even see the video yet and could have easily got by the level if I had more lives.

Seriously, how pissed would you be if you were in a real arcade and just fed this thing 35 quarters (how many credits I used up to this point) and a hours and hours of time?!

That's evil and cheap, I say.
