I often see people on here commenting on either selling or buying a stackload of gaming magazines but rarely their prices. In general would you say magazines are worth more or less than the price you originally bought them for? (assuming you paid for them at the RRP)

Also, I have both issues of the very short lived Pokemon Offical magazine (was in 2005/2006 I think), hold on to them or sell them?

From what i've seen, most of the time people are buying the magazines in big lots and they tend to not pay a ton for most of them (save early issues of some of the modern stuff, or for the old classic series) or the scattered random issue thats missing from a set. Since shipping more than a few at a time gets real heavy and shoots shipping prices up, most people tend to not want to spend much to get magazines.

Most gaming magazines are not worth a whole lot. Certain Nintendo Power issues are worth a little bit, and certain "rare" magazines (like ones made specifically for short-lived systems) can get up there in price as well.

Full runs of older magazines can be worth more than a typical old issue collection. Not much, of course, maybe a few bucks. :)

Not many single issues hit double digits. As already mentioned, most people buy magazines in lots because they pay less this way and it's better than buying 5-20 issues seperately because of their shipping cost.

I generally pay 1$ an issue or less in bulk lots, I ended up picking up a complete np run from 1-100 for about 75$. early egm issues seem to demand a reasonable price, but anything with street fighter or mortal kombat on the cover you'd be lucky to get 10 cents for.

I personaly would pay a reasonable amount to get the nes era of "Game players" as I found that to be fairly scarce in good shape.
