You should provide bigger screenshots on your site.

very nice, however 125$ is very steep. I understand it costs money to make them, but it does not cost anywhere near 125$

Dude, DID YOU EVEN READ HIS POST?

Nice reproductions btw, but it would help if the screenshots were bigger.

I think he's got his $ mixed up with his £ or €. Need bigger, more detailed pictures of the games, preferably from an emulator, not of a TV screen. Also, if you want to sell anything to North America, you have to use the style cartridge Nintendo had here. The Japan/Euro cart doesn't fix in our systems.

Baloo, his post said $80 shipped but the website says $125, hence confusion.

What can I say, I'm a business man, and its not as easy as you think.

- Proffesionel Eprom Burner (No, i dont use a willem lol, i use a professional one imported from Taiwan, $$$)
- Shipping Costs from USA cartridges to The Netherlands, and back.
- High quality labels, lending a high quality laserprinter.
- New Eproms
- Donor cartridges arent high quality always, and even I make mistakes/ brake donor cartridges.
- Time

Some people prefer the TV screen because they know it "actualy" works.
Thanks for your feedback !

Is it possible to have a little bit of a lower price if I provide a donor cart and pay to ship it to you?

Now does that BS Zelda(s) actually work as it intended on the stellaview or is it hacked with the work arounds.

I am interested in obtaining English NTSC versions of Dragon Quest 3, Dragon Quest 6, and Secret of Mana 2. Any hope for seeing these titles pop up? Any price breaks for ordering in quantities of 2,3,4, ect? Thanks

I tried asking about it and it does not seem to be based on Mottzilla's work but rather some old, Non-English modification with a "LinCalibur" spriteset hacked in.

Being unsure of how far along that would be, I wouldn't recommend purchasing that one without someone giving a more through review/look-around. There's -still- major bug fixes and modifications going on with the ROM hacks of BS Zelda over at the BS Zelda Homepage forums.

Since I'm not even certain in the origins of his cart mod are from the BS Zelda Homepage, I can't even make any guesses as to whether you can reach Ganon - or even Level 7 - in this specific cart version. I can't say for sure if the Blue Manhandla and Blue Gohma are fixed, either.

(I'm really wishing Mottzilla got some work down on his SRAM hack.)

Yeah everything looks great, and the prices are fair in my opinion. Ik heb veel naar het Nederland gestuurd, en het is altijd duur, zo vind ik deze prijzen een goedkoop. ;)

Be wary on dragon quest 6, I heard there's a lot of problems with the translated rom itself. Hell is it even fully translated? :P

Nice, $80 is a great price for a snes repro on average. I can vouch for that 100% having built some myself. You are paying for the labor and workmanship more so than the cost of making them.

Out of curiosity, do you use Doom cartridges for a star fox 2 repro, or do you know of a cheaper alternative (from my research there are 4 suitable donors for a star fox 2 repro). Also, it sounds like you use eproms too. I figured flash memory might be cheaper at first, but a lot of flash memory you can buy without going after discontinued chips is 3.3v only. That and it seems more troublesome to fool with. What kind of paper and adhesive do you use for the labels? What eprom burner do you use? You mentioned using one from taiwan. While it's not the best out there my top2049 has served me well, and surpassed my initial expectations. It is certainly much better than the willems junk, though the software still does not work in vista last i checked. In fact, the hardware is solid, it's the software that sucks.

There is a some decent money in repros, but they are very time consuming to produce. After posting my thread on services I offer, by far the most requests have been for snes repros, and some on a compact flash tg-16 flash cart.

Would anyone be interested if I had new snes pcb's made, much like how retrousb made them for the nes. It would fit in any standard snes shell and will be customizable for hirom/lorom sram of different sizes, mad-5 decoder, etc. It would still only have space for 2 eproms on the board, so the stacking method will still need to be used with eproms. This would (hopefully) decrease the amount of time and work involved with snes repros and increase productivity. The only issue would be the need to cannibalize CiC and mad-5 chips from existing snes game still. That and there is no neat way to make a new one size fits all pcb for games that used additional chips. I might make a few different pcb layouts for some of the addon chips, but honestly on most of them you are better off just using an original cart. Desoldering and resoldering most of those chips can be a nightmare without the proper tools (which are expensive)

sounds pretty cool :o and i don't know much about this kinda stuff but don't most of the hotter repros have games that used special gfx chips or something? would u be able to salvage thoughs as well?

DQ 6 for SNES is actually going to be going through another pass of quality / retranslation sometime this year still hopefully. I think those guys wanna finish DQ5r first though. Their DQ3 could really use a second quality pass too I think. It's not BAD, but it's not super professional level quality yet either. But at least they finished!

edit: come to think of it, the DQ2 half of DQ1/2 reprise on SNES also had some pretty funky bugs when I played through it awhile back, I wonder if those issues would be present on hardware or not...

A repro of Seiken Densetsu 3 / Secret of Mana 2 is usually a hot ticket when one does slip under eBay's radar. I'd suggest that because people are paying way too much for them.

One of these days, I'd like to look into repro making. Furthest I've ever gotten was getting a Tototek Flash Cart which works pretty well for any game that didn't need a special chip.
