I recently got a Game Gear, but there is no way I want to use several batteries when I am home to play it. I've read that the Genesis model 2 and 3 adapter works on the Game Gear. I own a model 2 Genesis, and the adapter has 10v on the output, while the Game Gear says 9v when talking about AC adapters. Is it really safe to use the Genesis adapter or will it blow my Game Gear to the great used game shop in the sky?

you are good to go, the model 2 power supply (yellow tip) will work just fine.

The Game Gear uses the same adapter as the Model 2 Genesis, it's fine to use as that's what I used to do. It's also the same adapter that the Nomad uses.

I agree with all 4 of them, I use this on my GameGear also.
Besides working with the Game Gear, the model 2 adapter can also be used to charge the Game Gear battery pack.
