Cheap PSP repairs?

I have a PSP with a busted UMD door... I've seen the videos on YouTube on how to replace, but the metal frame has come off too, and I'm not sure I can get it all back together correctly. Plus, I'm not sure whether it needs other repairs as well. Are there any places cheaper than Sony to send a unit for repairs, or should I bite the bullet and just try to fix it myself?

Kinda odd but look at your local craigslist, look for psp repair.
