My Saturn adapter (plug? I'm big on the technical know how ;) ) has gone missing and I'd rather not fork out for another one. I noticed the Dreamcast seems to use the same connector for it's adapter. Can I use it as a replacement or would make my Saturn go boom?

You should be able to. Banana cords are common in a lot of devices. I do not believe that it has a set voltage. The system has an internal power supply. All this cord does is transfer power to the unit. I've used a Dreamcast cord for my cable box and it worked without a hitch. So, yeah, I'd say it works.

Maybe even on the original models of the Playstation and PS2, but I can't remember.

Brilliant! Will save me buying one, knowing the original would turn up after I've bought a replacement! Thanks.

Come to think of it, my PS3 is hooked up with one.
