Who else is pumped for NHL 10? Edit: Demo out

Personally, I can't wait for this game. It seems to be such an improvement from 09. The Be-A-GM mode looks great, and the EA Sports Hockey League is the best part (IMO)!

I honestly didn't know people got pumped for sport games, but I guess. Aren't all sport games the same thing different number and different player on the box?

i'm lookin forward to nhl 10...i usually get ncaa football and nhl every 2 or 3 years but not every year since EA tends to only enhance the game ever so slightly from year to year.

however, if you wait a couple years or so between instead of getting them every year, you notice big differences.

I'm assuming you haven't played NHL 09 (if not, correct me), but EA actually added a lot to the game that previous NHL games did not have. Such as Be a Pro Mode, and the EA sports hockey league, which let's you have your own club and compete for rankings. You could play with 6 players on a team at a time (3 forwards, 2 d-men, and 1 goalie). It had it's problems, but it was definitely one of the most addicting and fun modes I've ever played in a game.

The demo should be hitting Xbox Live in a couple weeks, and it will have 2 extra game modes to try, other then the normal versus match. You'll be able to try out "Be a Pro Mode", and another mode that I have no clue what it is.

Plus Gamestop has an offer for extra points towards your EASHL player (online be a pro).

although, I hated how if you simmed a few games (even if you lead the freakin AHL in points) I still end up on the 4th line and when I got drafted didnt even crack the NHL starting lineup... that made me mad...

I also dont need emails every 2 games about useless info...

what they did with the draft in this game looks awesome though

I hope EA don't charge for DLC. If they did, forget about buying it for full price. Just wait until it hits bargain bin.

I am most definitely pumped. NHL 09 was awesome, best hockey game ever. There is nothing like playing against a buddy in the same living room. My buddy and I cannot even have a conversation during gameplay because this game requires such intense focus when you are playing an evenly matched opponent.

im excited, i never even got nhl 09, i enjoy nhl 08 enough and heard 09 had to many problems, but 10 is going to be awesome. sports games are not the same every year, close sometimes, but still different. i guess it depends on the game also, i am speaking for madden and nhl. innovations like hit stick and then playmaker in madden, big changes. i have head that in madden 10 you will be able to catch missing field goals and run them back, that would be sick.

Demo is out today for 360 owners. Passing is harder, but it should be, and it's a great improvement.

I've been jakked for this game since earlier this year. I buy NHL every year, and this one will be no different lol. They added so many things to the game, again, and playing the demo you notice a huge difference. Passing seemed alright, and i'm loving the fights after the whistle :D
