Halo Anime Series Coming Soon

Announced at Comic Con this week was an upcoming series of short anime (http://www.industrygamers.com/news/halo-anime-to-be-overseen-by-343-industries/) films devoted to the Halo series by various studios. This immediately reminded me of the Animatrix anime stories done for the Matrix. Some of the stories will be debuting on Xbox live this fall and all will be launching in early 2010. I actually think this is a much better idea than a live action movie because this has the potential to be much more faithfully created to better represent the Halo universe.

I'm not really a fan of these sorts of things. It sounds like a cool idea, but never seems to turn out well.
Animatrix was a mixed bag, and Gotham Knight was pretty dissappointing.

I agree that Animatrix had some good shorts....and some sucky ones. And I haven't checked out Gotham Knight yet. But I'm still 100% sure that this will turn out much better than any live action Halo movie they might have made.

I clicked into this expecting Red vs Blue Animated and was disappointed. :(

What an auspicious beginning for the series - comparing it to the SW franchise...

And...FIVE production houses? I wonder where the animation work will actually be done.
