Here I sit going through two games I seemingly keep returning to year after year - Culdcept and Cardfighters Clash (NGPC)
Also, FF7 seems to get more than it's share of replays, as do Final Fantasy and Shining in the Darkness. I'm still getting an itch for Starflight and Landstalker even writing this. Oh dear :D
What games do you folks seemingly always go back to after being 'done' with it for a while.

I can't seem to get over WaveRace 64. Tetris Attack has a seemingly eternal appeal, too.

Dino Eggs for Commodore 64. It may be the closest thing to perfection in a game. Never get tired of it, even after finally breaking 500 points.

Dragon Warrior III. There's so much to do in that game. Theoretically, it could go on forever if you don't get bored with all the class-changing. I also revisit Shining Force every now and then for the simple fun of it. I still haven't turned everyone into a Jogurt.
The first Tekken game for PlayStation.

Vice City. I play that game over and over again.

FFVII and FFX are definitely on this list, as is San Andreas. I wouldn't really count games that can be completed in under an hour on here, otherwise Sonic 3 would be up there too.
Game Freak

Agreed.
I can't get enough of Top Gear, Contra, Tetris Attack, Yoshi's Island, Lion King, Aladdin, and Pac Man 2.
And Pinocchio >_>
i'm a SNESaholic :P
but most of all i LOOOOVE Kirby Super Star. Can play it for ages. Donkey Kong Country 2 as well.

Virtua Fighter 2 on the Saturn!!!
This is still the best installment the series has ever had. Ever since the series has been a mixed bag. VF 3 was, ummm... different and VF 4 was just horrible. Fortunately with VF 5 the series looks to be back on track but it still doesn't hold a candle to VF 2.
Virtua Fighter 2 just got absolutely everything right. Fantastic graphics, fluid gameplay, and one of the most memorable soundtracks of the era! Any time I am in the mood for a fighting game I can ALWAYS return to VF 2 and have a good time!

Final Fantasy, Brigandine, and just about any Castlevania, Mega Man, or Mega Man X game.
With Final Fantasy, I just love playing it. I can run through it without level grinding except before the marsh which I also need to be atleast level 7 most of the time. Everything else, including the Temple of Fiends 2000 years in the past, really is no trouble with no grinding at all as long as you have a balanced party(which is any form of two attackers and two magic users with some exceptions.) Play this so much I can beat it without any of the light warriors dying.
Brigandine or Brigandine Grand Edition. I enjoy Brigandine and like it better than GE, though GE is technically the better game with the changes to the element system, the minor class changes, and the fact that it can be played two player. This is one game that I'd say has by far the most replayability for any tactical RPG as almost no game will play the same twice. I'm more of a fan of Tactics Ogre or Arc the Lad 2, but I've actually played this game far more than either of those two. You could describe it as being similar to Romance of the three Kingdoms but better.
Castlevania or the Mega Man games. They're good platformers. Should be obvious why I go back to these.

Chrono Trigger is beckoning me right now. Then there's my semi-annual runthrough of Super Metroid and A Link to the Past.

Contra - I've played it so many times that I can complete it consecutively with more lives than I start with
Shadow Dancer - I love the theme and music, as well as the diffivulty I guess
Sonic Games - totally timeless with great music and feel
Mario 3 - Has any game out there got more charm than this? I like it even better than World (and seem to be in the minority with that)
Kid Chameleon - So much depth and replayability with all the different suits, it's also pretty epicly long which may account for why I still come back to it
Conker's bad fur day - too many funny moments, great gameplay.
Rez - Love everything about this game, it's pretty much a work of art.

Tetris. It's THE perfect puzzle game. I've never played any other game on any system as much as I've played Tetris on the NES.

Super Mario 64- Never seems to get old
Solstice (NES)- I've never beat it, but I've tried so many times...
Mega Man 2- Now that I've downloaded it on my Wii, I seem to always play it for a little whenever I turn on my Wii.

Wizards and Warriors on the NES because that's one game that always takes me back in time. I remember doing a AVGN on that game back in the 80's. Hated it at first, but now it's an eternal favorite.
Also love to break out the first Jet Moto on the ole PS1. I love crashing and burning in that game!

I've probably started a new game on Final Fantasy 8 more times than anything else, but never actually finished it. Last week I made it to Ultimecia's realm, and here I am starting AGAIN because I didn't level right or get the right weapon upgrade items. And I was really trying to be as complete as I could... Currently just after where Balamb Garden starts flying, and the logic falls out the window in the process.
I've quit FFXI several times, usually to try other MMOs or just focus on collecting. Then I realize that I really don't like other MMOs, just FFXI. I'm on Caitsith if anyone else is on. Trying Red Mage for a while.
Unreal Tournament (1999) is probably the game that I've "gotten back into" the most times. There has never been a better deathmatch game. UT just balances everything perfectly, while maintaining that visceral feel of 90s shooters. Tactical shooters be damned.

Phantasy Star Online on the Dreamcast and GameCube. I don't know why I love it so much, it gets to be almost grueling after the amount of hours I've put into it (especially after losing my level 109 character in a GC third-party memory card corruption). But I keep going back to it and playing the single player modes.
Roadkill on the Xbox/GC/PS2. I love this game so completely. I love vehicular combat games, and this one does it right in almost every way, other than only having three levels. I love starting riots and blowing up police cars with guided missles, and scooping up all the salvage in the wreckage. I love finding and unlocking all the vehicles, most of which I won't drive. I love listening to Gear Talk 96.2 FM and hear the radio hosts talk about blowing people up. I love it.
Midnight Mutants on the Atari 7800. Take the Atari 2600 game Adventure, give it an isometric viewpoint, throw in pumpkin-headed zombies, blasters, full-screen bosses, decent graphics, and Al Lewis (from the Munsters). No matter what way you slice it, it's a winner.
Brigandine. I have beat this game so many times. I wish there were more games like it.
Tecmo Super Bowl. Madden has nothing on this.
Street Fighter II Turbo (SNES) best fighting game ever IMO.
Civilization III. I don't know how many times I have sat down to "only play for a minute" and then 4 hours later ...

I forgot a few I still can't get enough of from my first post -
Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! (I recently beat him by decision. I thought that was impossible!)
Turrican (Amiga) - I have this and Turrican II but yet the first keeps bringing me back. maybe if I eventually beat it...

That's the great thing about pre-crash games - the "endless" nature of the design helps them stay fun even 25-30 years later. I don't know how you guys stay interested in playing a platformer over and over and over, but hey, to each they're own. Anyways, a few of the ones I keep going back to:
Demon Attack (2600) - the movement of the demons is just mezmerizing. It wasn't actually one of my favorites back in the day, but it sure has held up well.
Pac Man (5200) - my favorite home port of the game - it plays wonderfully, looks great, and is always a challenge.
Missile Command (2600 or 5200) - I completely enjoy the game, but I've never been very good at it. One of my default 5200 games when I can't decide what else to play.
Pitfall! (2600) - I never mastered it, so there's always something new for me to find.
Something more modern, either on the SMS or Genny: Space Harrier I/II. Pick up and play, blast stuff, enjoy the music, watch the crazy visuals.
For even more modern, House of the Dead 2 and Zombie Revenge on the Dreamcast - I bust them out every Halloween. Even though it hasn't gotten a lot of play time recently, I could always enjoy a game or two of Crazy Taxi.

With the advent of online multiplayer it use to be Halo 2 but now it's Halo 3. I also tend to play way to much Castlevania: Symphony of The Night on multiple systems.

Final Fantasy IV. Over the years it has overcome Chrono Trigger, FF6 and Mario RPG as my all-time favorite RPG, and the one I go back to the most.
Skate 2. I have a feeling Skate 3 won't be the quantum leap that #2 was, so this one will probably always be in my collection.
Tetris, Dr. Mario, Panel de Pon, Puyo Puyo, Puzzle Fighter.
Timesplitters 2. Every FPS eventually gives me the urge to go back to this one.
