Last night I did the unthinkable and decided to rearrange my Genesis Wall so that it would be in alphabetical order. I knew that it would not look better, but I was tired of not finding the games in an orderly manner. I also laid out and took pics of all of my hardware and each game to show my complete Sega Genesis Collection. Here is the link to my new pics, and I would like to thank all on this forum that made it happen, espically Coreys429 who stayed up with me to "fix" my wall.

Wow, very nice! I love collecting Genesis games. I don't care for the flimsey cardboard boxes too much, but I love those clamshells! Were Turrican and Universal Soldier the only two with the shoebox style boxes?
I noticed you had some variants too, like the two different Raiden Trad clamshell covers.
Well done!

Your collection is very purdy! :)
I love the shelves picture!
But question, how did you create the shelves? I really like how they look.

There are about 10 or so games with the "shoebox style" Hardball, Hardball III, Double Dragon, Warp Speed, Winter Olympics, Mike Ditka, Power Golf Challenge, and Star Control are the ones I can think of off of my head.
As for the shelves, I made them with my father in law(more him than me making them). I just took a sheet of plywood, cut it into strips, then used 5 in brackets(sold at Wallmart for around $1.00) to attach to all the wall studs in the room. Shelving in mass quanities is time consuming and fairly expensive any way you cut it, but I tried to have shelves that are minimal in design but maximize my small 300 ft rooom.
Thank you for the kind words :)

I wonder why your Victor Maxx Stuntmaster VR helmet looks different than mine does. I've got two, and mine have much better looking boxes.
I think bobsy is also shoebox style
very sexy collection though, and nj on the shelves they look great ;p

I too would like to know the deal behind Raiden Trad. I own the one to the right, but the one to the left looks the same as the manual cover and cart art. What's the deal with this one?

As for raiden, I believe that there was a company change, as the company on the box is different on one of the them. One is Bignet and the other is Micronet. I bought the box variant at a CGE years ago.
Steve W, you got pics of your Victor Maxx units? I got this one from Qixmaster, and actually have another one in not as good shape.

Nice! I once tried to organize my gamecube collection, but you're screwed as soon as someone comes over and wants to see your games. no one will put them back in the right order!

Art Alive!!! Haha my friend had that. It's a super crappy Mario Paint type of game but completely useless.

Here's what my helmet box looks like.

I have two of these things. I found them at a flea market, one open and one shrinkwrapped. I'd always wanted to mess around with virtual reality, and this was finally my chance! What a letdown. It's like having a Game Gear an inch in front of your eyes, and twice the weight of a Game Gear sitting on the bridge of my nose, not a good feeling. Still, I only paid $2 each for them, so I can't complain!
I was considering setting up a Genny at this year's Oklahoma Videogame Expo and hooking up the ol' Stuntmaster VR helmet. But it looks like my loose helmet got damaged in storage. The head strap has snapped, and something damaged the plastic lens cover. So if do run a table at OVGE, I'll have to use the new one. And it never occurred to me that it wouldn't work with the Genesis 2 unit. That's what I was planning on bringing, with a Sega CD 2 and a 32X.

Thank you for sharing your box. The box looks great! My unit that I got looks to be in perfect working order, though I have several other projects ahead of testing them.
Any idea on why my box is different?

Maybe your box wasn't a direct sales product, maybe it was for store demonstration? I'm not really sure why yours is different. At least you don't have the embarrassingly lame text on the back of your box!

Love it. Such a classic system. Also, props on taking the time to organize your collection; I find it a hassle just making my bed sometimes >_>

swlovinist fails to mention how long it took to reorganize it....12 hours 8pm to 8am. That is checking to see manuals, pictures and placing back on the shelf. The next day, I went to a garage sale and found another box that he didn't have. ha ha ha

I see you have three Streets of Rage 2 boxes. What are the differences among these? The one i have says "Not for Resale" at the bottom, but i can't notice any differences on the front covers in the photograph.

One has a Sunsoft address label sticker on it. I dont think it is a proto or anything. The other is Juas a standard version in a NFR case.
