The Member Calendar (http://www.calsnet.net/roundtable/) states that tomorrow is a BIG day for this Boston-based gang.. But I haven't heard a peep about it! So, what gives? Is anything going on?

Nothing going to happend since Scott and/or Chris was unable to booked the date for the "special meeting" they want to do. It will probably came later this summer.

Glad to hear it's still going to happen! I thought it wasn't like you guys to stay so quiet about an event the size of this! :)

Yeah, let me try to carefully field this one ;)

Basically, our planned meet for June 7th (tomorrow) has been pushed back until later in the summer or possibly early fall. Half of this is due to the lack of cooperation we've had from the folks that we're trying to work on this with. It's not really that they're *bad*, it's just that they don't seem overly organized,.. and a key player is not easy to contact.

The other half of our delay is due to the new NECG Super Duper Special Project (TM) that's begun to consume most of our free time. Once this project is completed, we will probably hold a regular meet in Boston (with a slight twist!) and follow that up with the event we initially planned for tomorrow.

With NECG being the promotional monster that it is, I can assure you that you will not miss our next update or any other event information! ;)

yes...sorry for any confusion or hanging questions on that calender date, who posted that anyways?

now on to the two projects-

monster meet- we're going to book an event a funspot, you know the 2cnd biggest arcade in the world, with every classic game you ever heard of? yeah that place, we'll be trading and running a twisted version of starcade. the deal there is that they liked the idea and kicked it to the "arcade manager" instead of the "events manager". the arcade manager sounds fine but he just doesnt respond to emails, whats up with that, we have no idea. maybe he's waiting until he gets his arcade tourney done. in any event its too sweet an idea to let go of and you better believe we'll let you know just as soon as we pin him down for a date.

secret game project- depending on what you read online our upcoming game release is either a total mystery or an open secret. we're keeping the title hush hush for reasons that will become obvious once the game is released. its something you've heard of probably and will want to have. the deal is you can only get a copy by trading for it, no cash accepted. we at the NECG believe in trading and are hoping to nudge this hobby away from the credit card crowd. simply put we're all about the games and we hope you'll enjoy this new cash free concept. even if you dont have a trade pile full of rares you will not be out in the cold, our group includes gamers of every sort so theres likely to be one of us who wants your doubles...

so whats the next NECG event, is there a light at the end of this vauge post? we're having a launch party/ trade meet very soon, right here in boston. stayed tuned for updates and keep picking up that trade bait :)

...That sucks about the problems, but maybe it will be pushed back until after August 28th when I'm back in the Hub. I always end up getting cool stuff at NECG.
