Dreamcast troubleshoot

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, I'm new.

My Dreamcast works fine except it won't play one game: Maken X. It just stays on the menu screen.

I've tried opening my Dreamcast and fiddling with the screw by the lens, but it didn't do anything.

Anyone know what the problem might be and if there is a solution?

If only that game fails to load I would think that the disc is the problem, not the DC.

Yeah, it's probably the disc. I remember having that same problem with Blue Stinger. Have you played this particular disc(this copy, not the game itself) before and it worked or is this your first time?

The reason that I ask this is that this was one of the first DC games and back then the games were notorious for being shipped with some copies either being blank or with data missing. I remember my aunt had that problem with Sonic Adventure and Blue Stinger, as did I.
