Favorite Mario 2d Game!

Well, Mario Advance 4 will come out in a couple of weeks and guess what! It's Super Mario Bros 3!

After looking at this question for about a couple of minutes I made up my mind.


5. Super Mario World 2 - I does not deal with mario as much. Yoshi is the main character and its not to fast paced.

4. Super Mario 3 - I know everyone loves this game. I never got to much into it.

3. Super Mario 2 - I love the fact that you can pick Mario, Lugi, Todd and
Princess Toddstool.

2. Super Mario 1 - How the hell could anyone not love this bitch. This was my very first game I played. I love this one.

1. Super Mario World - I love this one. Bigger bosses, Bigger enemies, More power ups, great 2d clean graphics and my favorite Haunted Houses.

1. SMB 3 (Tonooki and Hammer Bros. suits!)
2. SMB: Six Golden Coins (first GB game I ever loved, still love it today)

My favourite would have to be Super Mario World. That was actually the first Mario game that I beat. Next would have to be SMB 3. I loved all of the different suits you can get and you can have an inventory for your items.

Super Mario All-Stars. I mean, it's the original games, with better sound, better graphics - why would I want to play the originals?

Mario 2 is best in my mind. The NES is THE PERFECT platform for 2D games, and I really like SMB2 because it was so different. (And YES YES I know its a rip off of Dokie Dokie or whatever)

I've not played much of the SNES Mario Games, however.

Yoshi's Island was my favorite, I just loved that game.....but...then again, SMB3 was just amazing, especially when I was a kid.

I'd have to go with good old Super Mario Bros on the NES. It's definitely the 2D one I spent the most time with.

For me it's a toss-up between SMB3 and SMW1, i invested so much time in those 2 games when i was younger. i'm still sad i got rid of the NES ... i think that's going to be a purchase soon. my NESterDC disk isn't cutting it anymore.

Super Mario Bros 3. I've never played a platformer that's been as fun as Mario 3. I remember being so hyped up when I heard it was coming, me and my sister saved up for a month to buy it, ended up getting it the second day it was out(last copy the store had too). It's just got too many perfect things in it. Hell if given a choice I play the NES one over the SNES remake in all stars because it had perfect sound and graphics the first time around.
