Would anyone else out there buy this if Nintendo made a Genuine Nintendo Wii-mote rechargeable battery and charger kit?

We need to pressure Nintendo into doing this, The new Wii Motion Plus seems to drain my batteries twice as fast as the standalone Wii-mote

Why? There's plenty of rechargeable options out there, including official Duracell and Energizer branded NiMH batteries which don't cost a bundle to replace.

I use 2 AA's for my wiimote, and 2 AA's for my 360 controller. Perfect. As a bonus, I started buying more rechargeables for my digital camera and other gadgets, which is working out great. That's the way to go.

Yeah, I've completely stopped buying disposable batteries. With all of the controllers, remotes, and dildos we have in the house it was a no-brainer to switch to rechargeable batteries.

I guess an official rechargeable battery/charger would be nice but I wouldn't really need one...We have a ton of NiMH batteries now since my wife is always able to get them for super cheap. She stacks couponds with sales, rebates and employee discounts. I don't have the patience for that stuff but if she's able to get a pack of 4 for a $1 and I'm always able to have fresh ones for my Wii Remotes, Lynx, Nomad, and everything else then I'm happy.

No need for an official one, the Energizer branded Induction charger works very well and recharges Wii remotes with or without the Wii Motion Plus adapter, while also allowing the Wiimote sleeve to remain on it

Yeah, the only problem is getting poorly-manufactured chargers. My first set was a Duracell quick charger (Fully Charged in 15 Minutes!) and had a cooling fan to prevent it from overheating. It only worked a few times before the cooling fan stopped working for no apparent reason. I now use an Energizer brand one that takes 8 hourse to charge.

The only thing an official Nintendo Wii battery charger would do is be overpriced and sit on the shelves.

While an official rechargeable battery system would be nice, I don't see Nintendo taking any steps to putting one out anytime soon. I don't believe the Energizer charge station is officially licensed but I'm pretty sure the PDP one is.

I don't use too many batteries but I've been considering going the NiMH rechargeable battery route for my remotes and such.

I use an energizer recharging station to charge all my batteries, and feel no need to buy an official Nintendo recharging station. I used to have a third party Wii charging station that would charge your controllers using the Wii's power supply, but your console had to be on standby mode in order to charge the controllers.
