I am looking for a JAMMA based cabinet, so I can switch out boards, I have looked all over and can't really find anything, does anyone on here in the Southern California area looking to sell? I am looking for one with six buttons for fighting games.

Tried Craigslist? You could also ask this question on the KLOV.com forums.

I had the same problem, couldn't find anything resembling an arcade game for sale anywhere near me, plus I was picky about the kind of cabinet I wanted so even if one popped up it wouldn't be one I wanted anyway. So I finally just bit it and bought one off eBay and paid the shipping. ($325.00) Of course, if you want to save some money you can scout ebay for somewhere close to home and go on a road trip.

Thanks for the info, yeah I have been scouring Craigs List, and the KLOV forums have been down. I basically want to buy this: http://www.jammaboards.com/store/capcom-cps-ii-18-in-1-multigame-jamma-pcb/prod_292.html

I was thinking of installing it in a Sega New Astro City Cabinet (someone had one for sale), but I guess the power supply is in an odd position, which makes installing JAMMA boards somewhat difficult. Does anyone know if this board will fit or not? I am contacting the company who makes it now.

Super Auctions is going to be in the Los Angeles area August 8th.
Usually pretty good deals there. I seem to remember several Tekken 2 cabinets selling in the $100 range...other fighting game cabinets were in the $50 to $100 range as well depending on condition and what it was.

While KLOV has been down recently, the forums have not. They have a separate web address, which you might want to bookmark in case KLOV goes down again.

Craigslist around here sucks too, but there always seems to be someone on KLOV selling something for a reasonable price.

Unfortunately I just found out about Super Auctions being in my area, and I can't find anyone to cover my shift at work, so it looks like I will be missing it!

I checked out that you provided for that CPS-2 multi-board. I have never cracked one of the plastic cases open, but I wonder if I did, if it would look like a CPS-1 setup, as shown in that picture? I wonder how they dumped 18 game ROMS into so few ROMS on that board? They do say no emulation... I wonder though. I suppose there is no suicide battery either on that board? :)

As for a cab... I would get a SF2 Dynamo cab... too bad you cannot go to that auction, because I bet you could score one for under $175 easily... 25" monitor and all..

Good luck with your search.

Just adding my 2 pence worth, and i would suggest a Sega Astro Cab, easy front access, can get them in 2L 4b or 2L 6B or 2L 12B

i have 2 so i am biased, but i love em :)

what i did for my jamma cab is just kept going through cl until a shitty game came up that i knew was jamma compatible.

if you keep looking, you can easily find 1 locally for 300 or less

I would kill to sell any of my shitty JAMMA games for $300. I just put my Zaxxon on CL for $100 and couldn't get any serious offers.

I wish it was better here.
I know in Omaha that 300 is a pretty good price for a jamma cab
