Today, I picked up 3 NES carts $3 each (Golf, Fighting Golf, and Section Z) and an interesting Pac-Man handheld game for $2. I'm not sure if it works, it uses watch batteries, and I don't know what kind:

Today I went to several garage sales. Didn't do that great, but it was better than last week:

PGA European Tour (GB, w/ manual) $2
Tony Hawk Pro Skater (GBC, loose) $4
Wario Land 3 (GBC, loose) $4
World Soccer '94 (SNES, complete) $3
Arcade Greatest Hits: Atari (PSX, complete) $5

That soccer game kind of surprised me. I'm a pretty big 16-bit collector, there aren't many game titles that I don't recognize. I don't think I've ever seen that one before though.

Wow.. and I didn't think this was my find of the day :) If yours uses watch batteries, would you happen to know what size? I haven't a clue of what to look for.

I have one of those Pac-Man things as well, except mine is blue, and it doesn't have the characters on the front. I believe it also came in a protective wallet, but I'm not 100% sure of that.

My finds this weekend amounted to a box of stuff I got from DP. I'll be in bliss for a while!! Felt good to bust open that TI994A Defender box, and those Lynx games...!!

But Joe, Team Rocket Pokemon cards?? :hmm:

Yesterday I got:

Sega Mega CD 2 combo (Sega Mega Drive II + Mega CD II), boxed, no manual all cables (Mega Drive AC and RF, and Mega CD AC), 6-button controller - $45 AUS

Road Avenger (Mega CD), complete, near perfect condition - $5 AUS

Does anyone think that $45 was a rip off, or is that about an average price?

Oh, and I also found an instruction manual for the Menacer 6 game carrt inside the box. Lord knows why it was there. :/

Picked up Horde (saturn) for £4 ($6)
Space Channel 5 for DC £5
Shenmue for DC £10

Plus sold a load of trade bait on Ebay and made quite a reasonable sum. Dragon Ball Z for the Saturn (PAL) went for £51 ($80) - even though the box was damaged, there was no manual and the disc is scratched to hell! X_x And I said all that in the auction text as well.... it will be handy money, as I am about to head back into Megadrive collecting, big time, after a good year or so concentrating almost exclusively on Saturn stuff :D

I finally got a Saturday to go hunting, but found little gaming wise:

Super Gameboy $4 with 6 old common gb games.

but..
non game related:
Sony steel cased stereo receiver, cassette deck, and record player for $10. Plus, the place I bought it is holding all computers and game related items coming in for me to inspect/fix/buy/whatever.

all in all, not a bad deal.
plus, today, I am going back to pick up a Techniks (sp?) 8 track with a steel case that matches my Sony rig!!!

Thanks to Indiana and my best friend's dad, I have some finds to report:

@ a Mom & Pop games store in Fort Wayne:

Genesis - All complete: $50
Rolling Thunder 2
Chavez 2 (YAY!)
Chase HQ II
Dinosaurs for Hire
Jennifer Capriati Tennis
LHX Attack Chopper
Mega Turrican

One more Renovation game to go for Genesis (Final Zone)... and I thought I'd never find Chavez II again. If you ever goto McVan's in Fort Wayne, watch out for the prices and hunt carefully! They have an ASSLOAD of sealed Genesis games at ludicrious prices.

From my best friend's dad: $20

12 NES Boxes including DW4 and FF1
DW4 Manual and Maps
DW1, SMB2 Part 1&2 Nintendo Power guides
3 SNES Boxes and Manuals, including SoE.

I needed better FF and DW4 stuff, and I got em! Those NP guides alone were worth the $20....

Are the renovation games rare or hard to find? Because my sister store has two of them complete that I looked at today, but decided better on Klax, Sonic 1, SF2CE, and Kid Chameleon to go with my CDX. Traded in some of my dupe SNES commons to pay for it, heh.
