I'm thinking about buying a 3 in 1 adapter for the super Nintendo. Is there any concerns I should have about using a 3 in 1 adapter on the Super Nintendo system in the long run?

I for one recommend an official SNES adapter and NES adapter. Sega Genesis 1 is ok with that. I tried one of those 3-in-1's and they didn't work as good.
Good luck

The only problem I found w/ one of those AC Adapters is that the cords are not as sturdy and tend to break after awhile (not in half, but the wires inside break and so they stop working). I have one I was using for my NES & SNES, but the NES side no longer works.

I've kinda wondered about those.
So, the rating is 9v 850a. Wouldn't that only be good for Famicom, SNES, and Genesis 2?
Not sure what the top-loader NES was rated, but I'm sure the front-loader NES needed more (1.3A of AC, IIRC) and I think Genesis 1 did (I got a Genesis 2 and CD 2 with one Gen 2 adaptor, but it said I needed a Gen 1 adapter for the CD).

I've used it for an AV Famicom (which uses the same power as a regular Famicom) and it works fine. I believe there is a regulator inside of it that just puts out whatever the console in question is looking for. I know that doesn't sound technical at all (and it isn't) and I might be wrong about that, but that's what I think anyway.

I bought one a while back and it worked excellent until one day it just stopped.
I have an SNES power cable, but my NES and Genesis are gathering dust.

Agreed. Those things are not well made and I highly suggest just using official AC adapters for SNES and NES. Genesis 1 I think you can get away with using a non official adapter, but they are cheap and easy to find (my local flea market has them very easily)

You're right. The NES (and Famicom) both have voltage regulators which brings the voltage from whatever it is down to something like 5v. The only thing is that the aforementioned regulators require a certain range of voltage, which is something like 7-10v. I guess a NES/Famicom could be run off 10v or so, but I would NEVER suggest running it off of more than 9v.
