..and I'm having problems with it.

I've connected my 32x and cable to both my Model 2 Genesis and my CDX, and both have the same issue with video:

No matter what, the "Produced or Under License by Sega Enterprises..." logo, is not white like it should be, but either pink or blue, sometimes switching mid-game. The in-game graphics suffer from the same problem. Games like Space Harrier work good enough to be played without problem, but for games like Toughman Contest are pretty much unplayable because the entire screen is blue in color, sometimes pink. The HUD in Doom can't be seen, either. When I try and run regular Genesis games the screen is too soaked in blue or pink to be seen. I'll try and make a few pictures so you guys know what I'm talking about a bit more clearly.

Anyway, uh, help.

Odd... when I tested it out on my CDX just now, whatever was blue or pink previously was GREEN...

I tested out Toughman Contest, Star Wars Arcade, and Doom. I also put in Sonic 1 to test if the Genesis showed any better. It didn't.

I've attached a few pictures... If you want me to take a picture of the actual cable and/or the pinout, let me know.

I know very little about the 32X and the CDX, so take any advice or suggestions I may offer with a grain or two of salt.

Have you tried adjusting the picture, tint, color, brightness etc. on the TV?

Do you have a picture of your generic cable connector plug-end?...

Try using a different tv and see what happens, try stretching the cord out and see what happens

It sounds like the cable connecting the Genesis to the 32X is at fault. That cable carries video generated by the Genesis to the 32X so the 32X can overlay its graphics on top before sending the signal out to the TV, so there's a bad connection any graphics generated by the genesis will be messed up. Try carefully reconnecting the cable and jiggling it a bit to see if you get better results. If that doesn't work you may have to get a new cable.
